My experience of buying a car from Lookers (Guildford) could not have been made any easier.
I was treated extremely well by every single member of staff.
Not for one second did I feel pressured into buying a VW.
The staff obviously believe in the golden rule ‘treat others as you would like to be treated by them’.
I would like to mention Ollie, Craig & Romy in particular.
They showed genuine kindness & empathy on all 3 of my visits to Lookers.

Get more courtesy cars
Generally the service level was good, however Guildford VW did not have any courtesy cars available during my service and repairs which left me and my family for 2 weeks without a car.

We found the Lookers VW showroom at Guildford professional and well run. We went in more than once while working out what we wanted, and all the staff were helpful and there was no hard sell. We ending up buying a used VW. Process was smooth, good communication and were happy with the experience.

Avoid Guildford Garage
Absolutely awful. Awful communication, slow and sarcastic. Walked out as the offer wasn’t good, phoned within 24 hours with the offer I originally asked for - wasting customers time. Picked car up to find spare key not working, they had the car in the showroom for a week before, how was this not picked up. Finally got a key and their driver managed to chip my windscreen. The solution.. you pay for it and we will reimburse. Taking no responsibility for their error. Will not return to Guildford garage - no follow up email since the incident.

Poor Aftersales
Keen to sell VW finance - less keen to fulfil presale agreed terms.
Nearly new car collected having not been touched up as promised and with a grubby interior. Worse still, it had been over-filled with oil and road-side assistance needed on the M4 … Slow to respond, empty promises and paint issue still unresolved some 2 years on. Poor - at best - aftersales service

Took my car in for a service last week…
Took my car in for a service last week & all went well, bit lengthy & expensive but they did have to investigate two recent problems.
I looked at part exchanging for a newer car probably T-roc. The sales manager made me an appointment for Friday 29th which turned out to be a promotion with discounts before they bring in the new new T-doc. When I came in they helped to find a new car as there were no 1 or 2 year old cars other than very sporty. Going to test drive it tomorrow && hope to take it home the following week!! It was the 11 year anniversary of buying my present Golf SV from the same garage. Treated well from the lovely young female receptionist to the sales and service staff.

Lookers in Guildford were excellent…
Lookers in Guildford were excellent with very good communications. I would like to commend Dan Murphy on the service desk, he was extremely helpful, competent and well organised. The booking system was efficient. The young fella from the call centre who booked me in was friendly and engaging, though he had a strong north east accent which meant I had to concentrate.
