Good service

Easy booking service. Staff onsite polite and welcoming.
The only thing that spoils the process is the access to and from the road to the building and total lack of parking when dropping off your vehicle. There needs to be some radical thinking by whoever manages the site as a whole to make this experience better for customers.

Poor communication.

My vehicle was recovered after going into limp mode with the EPC light on. When I went to collect a courtesy car, the first service advisor was dismissive and asked me to sit down while serving others who arrived after me. I then waited around 30 minutes with no explanation. The service manager was helpful and made sure I was sorted quickly.

Communication about my vehicle was poor. I was told it was ready to collect with “no fault found” and no explanation of what had been done. The next day I was told it still needed road testing. The car was with them for two weeks and I never received a proper VHC report.

When I collected it, the car hadn’t been washed and was parked extremely close to another vehicle. There were scratches to the front wheel arch and paint damage to the rear driver’s door that were not there before — I have photos to prove it. I was told a manager would call me on 16 February. but I’ve had no follow-up.

Overall, very disappointing service and lack of communication.

Shocking customer service

My car (brand new in November with less than 1,000 miles on it) went into Seat as a breakdown repair in January and was with the workshop for nearly 4 weeks without a resolution. The customer service I experienced was shocking with no proactive communication about what was happening, I had to contact them to get any response or update. Having left messages with multiple members of the team across service and sales with assurances I would get a call back (on multiple occasions), nobody picked these messages up and I soon realised the staff there don't communicate with each other and nobody takes responsibility for anything.
To top it off, when I collected the vehicle I noticed it had a scratch on it, which wasn't there when the car went in.
When the time comes for a new car I certainly won't be taking my business there again.

Very long wait times

My car was booked in for a service and MOT. I called in the afternoon and was told it would be ready in 45min. I arrived on time and still had to wait a further 1hr 30min for my car (and there were several people there waiting longer than me).

Easy to book a service online.
Service desk were friendly and helpful. I was having a service done whilst I waited, and was kept updated.

Subject: 😡 Terrible Experience at Lookers stockport



I'm still fuming about my visit to Lookers CUPRA Stockport. Went in looking to lease a Cupra, left feeling disgusted. 😤

Firstly, the disabled parking was blocked - no respect. Then, the salesman... wow. Unprofessional and rude from the get-go. Asked to test drive a car, told to come back tomorrow. 'Open test drive' day? Never heard of it.

Thanks to the 'manager she was lovely she sorted a test drive,
for me ,but Mr. Grumpy was not happy. got a test drive for 30 minutes , then he disappeared. Still waiting for a call back.

Don't go to Lookers CUPRA Stockport. Will be taking business elsewhere - BYD Stockport, here I come!

Poor service from the get go

Went in to talk about upgrading our car which was coming up to ending. Waited 25 minutes, not one single person acknowledged us, nor this other couple who was waiting.
Sales men all seemed to be gathered in the office waiting for their lunch order. Which I understand, lunch is important. But an acknowledgment is also important. And when someone did come out, first impressions wasn’t great, it was like it was an issue.
The two stars are just for the bald sales man who kindly didn’t waste any time going through the stock and finding the car we wanted but it wasn’t at a price we wanted, was only with him for 10 mins. But the whole impression was off from the moment we walked in.
It was like no one wanted to help.
It was crazy as 3 and half years ago when walking into seat lookers cheetham hill, was completely different, the vibe was good, upon entering we was greeted and approached by Lloyd! Brilliant and top salesman, shame he went. He had the gift of the gab.
Just to note: it wasn’t busy the showroom on the Saturday when we went. It was empty.
So we went over the road to HPL and exchanged our car, and they got us what we was looking for almost immediately, picked it up a week later.

Sorry lookers Stockport but your service was poor. Hopefully you can take this on board.

Had my car’s first service

Had my car’s first service, all done efficiently and staff very personable as always (had previous cars from the dealership).
Gutted I didn’t get my car washed though, was told it isn’t currently being done on first services due to refit being carried out on site. It’s always something I like having a nice clean car when leaving.

Service was fine

Service was fine but as I pay around £512 for a two year service plan and only drive around 2,500 miles a year it isn’t a cheap service. Not a lot can be needed to service my car.

Excellent customer service

Our experience of buying the car we wanted was amazing throughout. The customer service was excellent and we were well looked after by friendly, professional staff. The car details and the buying process were explained to us at every stage. We got a good deal on our purchase and enjoyed our whole time at Lookers. The coffee was good too. The sale was followed up after we collected the car to make sure all was ok and told to contact them if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend Lookers Seat in Stockport to anyone and will certainly use them again.
