Serious Quality and Refund Issues with Camps Primera Negra A Guitar
I recently purchased a Camps Primera Negra A guitar (Serial No: 25198) from Stefi at LGS.
Unfortunately, the instrument arrived with multiple serious quality control issues and should never have been shipped in that condition. I returned the guitar on 30 March 2026, and it was signed for by Stefi. Obtaining a refund proved extremely difficult, and I ultimately had to escalate the matter by opening a PayPal dispute to resolve it. Throughout the process, Stefi was consistently obstructive and unhelpful.
I would strongly advise anyone considering a high-value purchase from LGS to exercise extreme caution, or to consider purchasing from alternative sellers.

We are sorry that you had this experience when purchasing your new guitar. We do check guitars before they are sent out and we were not aware that this particular instrument had multiple serious quality control issues. We did, however, agree to refund you once the guitar was back in the shop, this is what we do with all our returns especially when the customer raises serious quality control issues as we then relay this to the manufacturer.
We have an extremely high number of customers who have purchased guitars and have been thoroughly satisfied with their guitars and the customer service as provided by Stefi. Obtaining the refund was never in question, we just needed the guitar to be on its way back to us for obvious reasons. Getting refunded once the goods have been returned is standard practice in retail.
We apologise if you found us obstructive, we are sorry for the upset it caused and hope that you will consider us again in future, LGS.

Good service and great guitar neck dots! But they took quite a while to arrive by 2nd class post.

Item never arrived
6 weeks, and my order has not arrived. Do not order from outside the UK as they send the items without tracking. They don't want to refund shipping, only the price of the item ordered. That is not how it works. Very disappointed.
P.s. The price and shipping was refunded.

We are very sorry that it took the package so long to arrive and go though customs for your country. The order is always dispatched very promptly but then it can take a while to clear customs especially with certain items e.g. if they contain magnets. We understand that the package has now arrive but again we apologise in the delay. Kind regards, LGS.

Superb service
Superb service. Patient, genuine advice, not driven by trying to a particular guitar that suited them. Guitar shops are often intimidating, and this is a serious shop so the stakes were high, but it was very relaxed and low key. Pricing highly competitive too - no need to haggle, which is another off putting feature of many guitar shops.

Good service, I would have given 5 stars but I had to pay for p&p to return the initial faulty item, as such that added £10:00 to the cost of an already quite expensive item.

I had researched many guitars before…
I had researched many guitars before making my choice. I was worried about buying online as I could not get to London. As any guitarist will tell you, try before you buy, but I did not have this option. I did not need to worry. The instrument arrived in great condition and is exactly the specification I wanted. What a relief! The delivery was efficient and the packing was excellent. So, I would not hesitate to recommend the London Guitar Studio if you want to buy a high quality guitar online.

Thank you so much for the kind feedback. Since Covid we do actually have quite a few customers who cannot come to the shop so will buy online and it is usually successful for them. Equally we are very happy and do encourage people to come in and try the full range in our shop, especially if they are in two minds! We can talk you through you options over the phone or by email and we use a trusted courier service to send the guitar out to you that day. The guitar usually arrives the next working day to boot.
