Worth every penny! I'd recommend this to my nearest and dearest anytime
We've been looking to relocate for some time and this service was a lifesaver! Not knowing the area we were moving to, we leaned heavily on Locratings detailed school results and the local demographic data to try and find the best possible place for our family. I'd recommend this service to anyone, but especially those moving to an unfamiliar area.

Great website to see all information needed on one site
I like the property finder with map view and catchments colour coding tool very handy to search for properties near a particular school
I would like to see properties from all property portals instead of jus one.
But main thing is the information you get on each school and the area.
Very good site.

This is an excellent service!
This is an excellent service for anyone considering relocating to a new area looking to find out about the local schools, services and available properties to rent or buy. We relocated from overseas and locrating enabled us to find out about what the area we were moving to offered without the need or expense of travelling there. We will definitely use it next time we move.

Hi Peggie,
Thank you for your review.
I am very sorry that we have been unable to show properties on Locrating for the last three days, which I assume has prompted your feedback. We're trying our very best to get the issue resolved with Zoopla, however ultimately it is something which is outside of our control, as the resolution is something that needs to be done on their side.
We are a schools information website, we added properties obtained via Zoopla's API, as we thought it would be a useful addon for some users. However, as it is provided by a third party, with only limited support, we are unable to make any guarantees with regards to the availability of the feature; as such, it's something that has always been provided free of charge and outside of site membership.
The majority of our members have never viewed a single property, but the reverse is true for locations such as Hong Kong; where many users are looking to relocate to the UK. We are aware therefore that the lack of this feature is disproportionately affecting users, such as yourself, who are abroad and we can only apologise for that.
Please note that not all UK properties for sale or rent are actually shown on Zoopla anyway and so we would always recommend that you use other property portals as well; such as Rightmove, OnTheMarket etc. Which is what most UK property hunters do anyway.
We are hoping that the properties feature can be restored, however we have not been provided with any timeframe for a resolution and we may have to reluctantly remove the feature from our site altogether.
However, the positive news is that we still offer all the same amazing, unrivalled schools data and features that we always have; a lot of which is simply not available anywhere else.
Kind regards,
Lewis
Amazingly useful
Possibly the most useful platform ever made. Major life decisions are made so much easier, and more logical, through Locrating. Well worth the subscription, get it now. Thanks guys.

Excellent
Excellent service. Premium service is reasonably priced and provides a huge amount of data in a user friendly way that makes it very easy to compare schools and catchments. We found it a game changer - completely essential when house hunting in an unfamiliar area. We will use it again when looking at schools again.

Locrating is my go to place for details of a specific area and the schools as we’re house hunting and our child is about to start school. It allows you to look at schools, their rating and results and you can look for houses for sale or rent within the catchment area of a school you like. Highly recommend it!

Hi Melody, Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review, which is greatly appreciated! I should make you aware that at the time you left your review we had unfortunately suffered a hardware failure and whilst we were restoring data onto a new machine, we made all data and features available to all; otherwise, our members would have been locked out of their paid for features. I suspect you have left a review based on our paid features being free to all, which they are not. I'm very sorry for the confusion. Now our restore has completed the advanced data and features are locked down to members again. That said, hopefully seeing the full site will demonstrate the value it offers. Once again, please accept my apologies for any confusion/inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Lewis

An essential app to have during the school application process. Whether that be comparing schools or giving you extra confidence in your chosen school, this has all the information and statistics you would need in one place. This was an invaluable tool for me. As well as reviewing key information all in one place, it gave me the confidence to apply for a school that wasn't our catchment, due to the brilliant map / catchment area data which indicated we could actually have a strong chance based on our location (and we got it!) Highly recommend.

Incredibly helpful service
Incredibly helpful service for learning more about the schools in our local area. We subscribed for several months whilst looking for a new home. It brings together admissions, ofsted and other school data all in one easy to use map interface. We found the Zoopla integration very useful as well for seeing properties currently on the market in relation to school catchment areas. Would highly recommend.

It is SO frustrating that when I put postcodes in to check the schools, no pin drops on the map to show me where the house is, so I can’t actually easily see which catchment area the house is in. I can’t see how anyone can use this app with this limitation!

Hi Siouxsie, we have a 7 day-a-week helpdesk that offers support on how to use the site (and any other questions you may have), I do wish you'd raised a ticket (or dropped us a mail) earlier regarding this as the feature already exists and we could have saved you your frustration. Under the map menu select Settings and then turn on the option "Add Home Location Marker To Map After Each Search". I hope that helps. If there is anything else I can help with please don't hesitate to shout. Kind regards, Lewis
Fantastic resource for all parents. Can’t recommend enough.
A fantastic website that helps navigate the minefield of choosing the right school for your child, be it primary or secondary. It’s got numerous data points in its armoury such as ofsted reports, rankings, parents’ reviews and catchment areas to name a few. It’s easy to use, with intuitive graphic design and videos to demystify the school system. It also allows you to see what houses are on the market near the school / area of your choice. I honestly can’t recommend this app enough! It takes away the stress and many hours of research needed to find the right school for your little darlings. It’s a steal at £6.99 per month, especially as you can sign up for membership on a monthly basis and then opt out when you’ve made your decision.

Location Location Location
I found this website very useful when I decided to relocate to a new area and had to select primary and secondary schools for my children. There are plenty of metrics on the schools all available in the same platform, which saved me time in terms of research and made comparisons easy. The ability to visualise houses for sale on the same map as the schools (i.e. with information on catchment areas) was also really useful. In fact, locrating quickly became the website where I was checking for any new addition to Zoopla in terms of house market in the areas I was interested in. It was easy to subscribe and then unsubscribe once I did not need the service anymore. I am very happy with the location of the house I ended up buying and I feel locrating rally helped in the selection process.
