I signed up for an online course I then couldn’t even start. I informed them accordingly several times which they ignored. I have accessed no material yet they still want to charge an extortionate amount for online material- ie I have cost them NOTHING but they still want to charge.

Spam. Filled out a form which was a mistake. Should have at least put a different no. and email. They kept calling me so many times until I picked up and told them not to contact me.

Now they keep sending emails and you cannot unsubscribe. It says select link and email unsubscribe at learningcurvegroup.co.uk. Or even if email has word unsubscribe it will automatically send it to above spam and bounce back. Actual BS.

Keeps saying Your message wasn't delivered...
I've sent like 10 emails just now to emails has so far seemed like they have gone through. But I am doubtful they will remove me from mailing list.

This has been going on for maybe 2-3 months prior.

Enrolled in cyber security course Level II. When I reviewed the assessment pages it became clear that there were multiple repeated questions. Repeated questions could be construed as accidental but when the same questions repeat time and time again with only minimal rewording (on some occasions exactly the same wording) it Cannot be explained away. The reason this is relevant, each assessment is upwards of 80 questions with the repeated questions and there are three assessments required to complete the course.

Each question is defined as a essay response, must be individually typed, and does not allow copying and pasting for repeated questions. As such you have to write and rewrite continuously. Add to this the fact that there is not enough content and large gaps in the content itself and suspicions begin to arise.

It seems this approach is by design as if the exams are not completed within the deadline there is a £125 fee payable.

Interestingly the 'tutor' for this course has no social, LinkedIn, or Any other indication of their existence. Even an image search using their profile picture returns nothing. This is highly irregular.

Under UK law there is a requirement for reasonableness. It is enshrined in all legal jurisprudence. As far as I can ascertain the administration fee is stipulated is unenforceable in law as there are unreasonable expectations placed on the student. I suspect they are using their own form of social engineering to fleece individuals.

I look forward to investigating that scenario in court should there be any attempt to redeem the ridiculous and unreasonable £125 administration fee.

Shitty company. I have enrolled a 7 -week course and was told that there were 7 days left before the deadline. I have to pay 125 pound if I miss the deadline, which makes no sense as all as they never tell me the starting and ending date of the course when I am applying. Im not gonna pay for this.

I started a course with them, and the course appears to be thorough and professional. There are many bad reviews, here, mainly because of the early exit fee of £125. Well, the course is free, sponsored by a governmental institution. However, if you quit before finishing the course, the LCG will lose money even though they have spent time and resources on you. So this early exit fee seems reasonable. Imagine you agree to do some work for someone. You start it, you spend money on the necessary materials, and then the person decides he no longer needs the work. You would demand some financial compensation, wouldn't you?

It’s free free free. Until you sign up for a course then get hit with lots of demands of £125 late fees. Stay away from this Scam, and don’t trust people like this who tell you to hurry and insist to finish your application, while there is still time!! For them to get your money. Clever scammers…

currently struggling with this company, I wanted to learn more about cyber security and enrolled in this course.
Besides being rushed with times it is completely not appropriated to someone who, like me, as a full time demanding job. When asking more time for the last assessment had some atittude from the customer service lady that messaged me, that "i should have red better the terms and conditions". I would have NEVER enrolled in this "course" if I knew the assessments would be of this structure. I feel I am not learning, this is all to make you write essays.
The course is made for you to give up or not finish, as the teacher keeps sending back the assignments for me to resubmit answers? I feel I am not learning much, the questions are not clear and they ask you to resubmit answers with a complete different content than the one of the question asked. Patronising and not helpful.
I also feel the workbook and lesson slides are too basic, you are not able to write a sentence with that content, and she keeps demanding three to four paragraphs long answers. Keep asking for resubmission as they want perfect answers without giving you content for it. For me does not make sense they ask for resubmissions, you either pass or you fail, this is a never ending list of assigments, each with 50 questions.
Hope to finish this soon, dont even care about a certificate at this point, this is all a scam to make you pay some money for quitting or not completing the course.

It’s not worth if you are not receiving the funding for it.

First things first- I have Never had a hard copy learners book, or been given any physical material from them, also when asked for it - I was sent a digital file to my email address and told to print it myself. All I was given is log in details. Not a single call, no aftercare, zero.

Never had any face to face with the tutor, neither anyone called me throughout the course or provided proper detailed feedback apart from “resubmit the answer”, so you kind of left there to go and do it all by yourself.

The course is very intense and you quickly go through it, so a lot of time has to be dedicated for this as well as the work has to be done individually all by yourself, as no one is there for you. All you get is the date by when you have to submit like 50 question assignment, so you just have go through virtual material, learn it and do the assignment.

I am under impression that they make it all so hard and quick, that you fail, give up and pay them £125 to quit.

I would not undertake any courses via this company.

I have been inudated with emails and calls since being contacted on FB by someone called Amy. At no point did she mention that if I didnt complete the course for any reason I am liable to pay them £125!!!!!

I also enquired with Universal Credit, which I recieve and they advised me not to sign up with them as they are an organisation that they would not utilise!

Clearly they are not trustworthy - AVOID at all costs

I am on my second course at the moment, and I have found it a very positive experience. I haven't done any learning for quite a while, And I found the timescales reasonable. Additionally, I have dyslexia, and have been given support for that too. Frankly, I can not any find reason to complain especially after being contracted by my tutor, who was outstanding in her support and guidance.

Course was alright but after completing the course Emma kept chasing me to fill out a form with her confirming I would get a £50 Amazon voucher after.

Kept emailing me to complete, once I done the form correctly after numerous times. She then did not respond afterwards. A complete scam and untruthful!

Don’t waste your time! I signed up for a course and was threatened with charges if I decided to drop out. This policy wasn’t made clear enough when I first enrolled. On top of that, I was asked to answer a question requiring a response of 4–5 sentences, yet the lessons themselves barely provide enough detail, often limited to a single sentence.

I have done about 5 courses over the past couple of years through learning curve and every course the course tutors have given excellent feedback and informed me if i needed to add more information. They also answer messages to call you back and explain something if you have not included it in your assessment questions. There is no pressure and myself being disabled they are willing to give extra time if needed eg for GP and hospital appointments. I have always received my certificate from them.

I don't know why so many people saying 'scam'. I did a course through both Loughborough college via learning curve in the summer. I have never had a problem contacting them via email. Emails can go in junk mail. Tutors I have found to be helpful and reply to queries. I did counselling course and for me it was well worth it. I received the certificate, which, can take a few weeks which I understood, I wasn't the only one taking a course.

Wanted to cancel and they are relentless with phone calls What's App messaging. Not professional and makes it look like a scam in my opinion.

college and the tutor that seemed a bit anti social as the course progressed wanted to see what people had written and said the work wont get matked and we were promised a certificate at the end of the course and never got one she seemed to have trouble with reducing the noise level in the room and she may of been challenged by the situation i did the majority of my work at home because of this i felt like i couldnt concentrate in the room she didn't seem approachable when i wanted to voice my frustrations i wouldnt recommend this college to anybody wanting to embark on going on a course personally i don't know if the course had funding issues aswell as the course only ran for eight week and not twelve so i definitely wouldn't recommend this college to anyone.

You can never get through to this Derby branch - either by phone, voicemail messages, text or email. Never get a reply. When I went in to enquire about something I was made to wait at reception and the person in charge never came to assist me!

I have completed a counseling skills course and a mental health advocacy first aid in the workplace course also. Both programs very interesting. The systems they use are modern and innovative. The staff are very helpful and answered all of my questions quickly.

I have enjoyed taking courses with the LCG provider, I have finished three courses with them with two at level three. Never had a problem with the staff who have always been polite and helpful and never had a problem with any requests I have made such as extending the time needed to complete the course, they have been accommodating and the online material is good.

I did a few Level 2 courses with LC. Outdated way of learning/teaching.
