The LASIK Vision Institute Recensioni 

I can already see I'm adding to several other reviews that say the same thing, but I would be remiss if I didn't also warn people.

Stay away.

The actual procedure I had done in 2017 was fine, my vision was perfect and all went according to plan. I purchased the lifetime assurance plan after the office manager heavily pushed it due to my younger age and saying I would need it in about 10 years again. They required yearly eye exams which I complied with, paying $100 each year even though my vision was still perfect.

She was right, we're at 9 years post procedure and my vision has started to degrade. I called LVI to start getting info on what I'd need to do to get the procedure again, after them not being able to find me anywhere in their system and me getting them all the info from the initial procedure I get told that branch closed down and went bankrupt. A new holding company bought it out but isn't honoring the lifetime assurance plan.

At this point I've sunk in almost $1500 between eye appointments and the initial cost of the assurance plan. It's incredibly frustrating seeing all that be for nothing.

If you want to get Lasik do so at your own risk with these guys, but absolutely do not pay for any type of lifetime assurance, they'll find a way to weasel out of it.

The business side of it is shady. Don't buy any of the extras and add ons they try to sell you because they will not honor any of it. I wasted $1000 ($500/eye) getting the "Lifetime Assurance Plan" only for them to tell me that because of their bankruptcy, they were no longer honoring it. I don't see what their financial problems have to do with the fact that I already paid for a service that they are no longer honoring, even though their website says they still have the Lifetime Assurance Plan in effect. Also it takes weeks for anyone to get back to you about a single message.

The doctor and nurses and scheduling was perfect so don't worry about the actual procedure.

But if you ever need a touchup (which most people who get LASIK will need one within 5-10 years, that's just a fact), you'll have to pay for a whole new procedure.

(This place was bought by LASIKplus in 2020 so they are the same company with the same values, just to let you guys know.)

Poor Scheduling and support
Had an initial consultation (Virtual) with the Charlotte location folks and scheduled an appointment for an in-person visit. While on the virtual call, we asked for an appointment at Charlotte and after driving 1.5 hours to Charlotte, was told that the appointment is at Greenville because the system picked the location based on our zip code.
At NO point during our discussion were we told that the appointment is at Greenville, SC. I wasted a day of my vacation time along with the time driving back and forth & not to mention the money for gas.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Experienced, quality vision correction at an acceptable price. As an employer - very poor - closed many locations with little notice and shortly thereafter filed bankruptcy........

The actual cost of the surgery is $3.600 VERY EXPENSIVE !! Plus 29.9 % interest if not paid off in 18 months . The commercials are very decieving , plus it's been one year since the surgery and I need glasses again . When I called the office for my medical records they attempted to charge me $100 for the records . I refused to pay for MY records and went their in person and demanded they hand over the records which they did ; Don't let them try and charge you for something you already have paid for . This was in Lancaster PA : I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING LASIK SURGERY NOT WORTH IT !!!

Really not impressed with the service or quality of the consultation. Really felt like I was being pressured into buying at the expense of my eyes. Which are very precious.
