K12 - Iowa Virtual Academy Recensioni 

We love K12! We have been attending for the past 5 years. Not only does K12 offer flexibility if we need to travel, but the variety of classes is so much better than what we can get in a traditional setting. As a parent I love that my child gets to try so many different career paths.

Seeing how well my son does with k12 is a amazing experience.

This online school really help my son and myself. I was a single father, which made it difficult on my son and I. He graduated on time. Thank you all

K12 has been amazing! My daughter is loving it.

My oldest student has been going to K12 for 4 years now. I appreciate the availabilty considering my students don't feel safe at their previous school. there have been many good things and a few bad things, but mostly I always felt a decent balance nothing is ever going to be perfect. However the last 2 years I have seen a drastic difference with my student in H.S. The teachers and administrators are becoming less and less responsive to problems. I have literally sent several emails over the last 2 years that just flat out were never answered. but the teachers are seemingly getting busier than they can handle. My student had a class supposedly taught by a teacher who did not give responses or help with class issues. I believe teacher are being stretched to this and cannot keep up. My student is very advanced, she has completed over 32 credits in 2 years. She had always kept a GPA over 4.2, until this last semester. She had foundations of computer science both semesters. Upon completing the first semester she had straight A's including that class. But suddenly the 2nd semester she fails. This class was filled with technical problems and a teacher that was largely unavailable. Such a dramatic change should be a red flag to anyone. In this case I believe my student was set up for failure. The last thing I would emphasize is the App availability for grading and late or overdue assignments was a major reason I felt comfortable with my children at this school. but teachers seem to have a lot of trouble in some cases keeping them updated. this absolutely effects the ability for a parent or a student to even see where they stand. In summary I just feel like the program as a whole is largely backsliding in what it has been. The largest issue being teachers who are stretched too thin. Making it harder on both the teachers and the students. And this year and the class mentioned before has been a disservice to the hard work that was done. And has had a large impact on her GPA and class rank. These are things that will have an impact on her college future.

I enjoyed the ability to home school my son while having actual virtual teaching as well
