My vehicle was booked in with Edinburgh Land Rover for 8am with the call centre. Was explained if vehicle in for 8am i could wait for the mot to be done. I accepted as it was then a drop off for 8.30am and return later no waiting. Arrived 7.50am to be told vehicle was not booked for waiting only drop off and there was 2 other mot booked in before myself. Shocking as now having to wait due to someone being incompetant not doing her job properly.

If i could give 0 stars i would stay clear of this garage unless you are 100% certain you are buying the car. 18 days to wait on a refund because i had seen another car somewhere else which i advised the sales man Connor that i will be looking at other cars as his was the first 1 i had seen. After numerous phone calls to chase my refund to be fobbed of with excuses and emails to be ignored very very disappointed in the way this was handled. With regards to your comment its 1 umbrella same john clark in Edinburgh no mistake. 23/07/2025 car in question is now for sale in your Aberdeen branch definitely same John Clark no mistakes have been made. 1st tine going to buy a car and this is how you get treated wont be back in your dealership.

Terrible company to deal with. Salesman are incompetent full of excuses and empty promises
Internal communication is shocking!
And to top it off I had to advise them on how to remove a personal plate

Traded in my old truck for a newer model. Couldn't be more helpful and made the whole experience of trading in and upgrading easy and straightforward.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with and manager John never answered any of my emails ( all proof of this) bought a Landrover Discovery from them and waited nearly 4 weeks to receive it. Had it ONE day and broke down. Got it back a week later with little explanation and 3 days later same issue! Refused car and manager was very ignorant and still waiting on taxi fares I was assured I would get as I had to get a few to my work whilst waiting on a replacement vehicle! I shall still be going in to there showroom whenever I am in Edinburgh to let their customers know this !

Booked van in for defective heated mirror, sorted next day all under warranty!
Class prompt service was very happy with the service I received and was very grateful would have no problem recommending 👍

Useless company based on customer service!!
I have bought a Mercedes Benz GLC 2019 plate from them, everything was fine (I mean communication via phone and email, because of the distance), they had my car for a least a week to make sure everything is okay with the car (these were their words) until I turned up to their place in Edinburgh to do the final paperwork. When I arrived my car wasn’t ready - my car was still in their garage/service, and David asked me to wait for about 20 minutes. I want to mention that day was cloudy. When he brought the car outside for me to check out if the car is okay, the car was wet (freshly washed), it was parked (I assume intentionally) on a slope (because entering the inner courtyard meant a descent from street level). He gave me the keys to look around, as I mentioned above that the day was cloudy and the car is black, I have walked around the car (couldn’t see anything, to be honest I DIDN’T EXPECT TO SEE ANYTHING WRONG - because their company name contained SELECT). Then I have opened the driver’s door and first thing comes: the door step logo (Mercedes Benz) was damaged, I have checked the passenger door step, which was damaged as well, I showed him these damages and he said: “ I didn’t notice that “ (which were obviously; you can’t jump in the car without seeing that). He promised me that he will order the logos and send me to my home address, which never happened.
It was a long journey till I got home (around midnight). But the following day morning the hidden damages came to light: driver side wing mirror, front bumper in both corners, driver side rear door trim (the previous owner had a dog, which I wasn’t aware).
When I contacted David and explained what I found, he lied about everything I said and wouldn't accept what I can prove with photos.
So my satisfaction percentage with this company is 0% !

Ease of use- really helpful service

I reserved a car in the Edinburgh branch late one evening, the car hadn’t had photos uploaded yet and I asked for a video to be sent of the car so I could make my decision if I wanted it or not. I got an email first thing in the morning telling me I’d receive a video of the car, I’d get a phone call shortly to discuss my enquiry and they’d love to arrange a test drive if I was local! Sounds delightful. I replied to the email, excited but perhaps I shouldn’t have said I was in Inverness….
I phoned multiple times throughout the day telling me the guy dealing with it was so busy back to back all day with customers but I’d have the video by mid afternoon, that came and went. I phoned at 5PM, he was still busy. I get a phone call from him finally just after they closed… “The car has been sold, somebody reserved it 10 minutes before you did.”
Blatant lie considering I was offered a test drive that morning IF I was local?! Just couldn’t be bothered dealing with me because of the distance, utter disgrace!!! I am still awaiting my £99 deposit back BTW.

so much easier when the vehicle is collected from my home. could be a bit better at keeping customers updated on progress, as I had to phone to see if getting the vehicle back or awaiting parts. Also, don't promise a return time and then can't meet it. I was assured it would be back before 9.30 on the day of return. it didn't appear until 12.30. I had to rearrange a medical appointment at short notice.

Terrible service, Lack of communication

2017 Discovery Sport - faulty engine temperature sensor.
I was quoted £1020 to have my engine temperature sensor replaced (advised as a six hour job) my car was collected from my house and the replacement took place and the car was retired a couple of days later, however when I went to start the car the low coolant light was illuminated so I got a jug of water and topped it up and whilst under the bonnet noticed that the battery retaining screws had not been reinstated and were sitting on the bulkhead. I installed these and then thought I should check my tyre pressure (I got two new front tyres as well) and noticed that my dust cap for one of the wheels was missing. So I am concerned at the quality of the work carried out when they can leave screws out, not completely top up the coolant and lose a dust cap. I did leave this feedback at the time but got no response. I would have expected at these high prices that their quality control would have been much better than this.

Overall the experience was very good. The pick up service was great and my van returned with issues fixed within timescale. We did initially have a problem several times with the phone number online which reached the Aberdeen office and not Edinburgh and this slowed down communications a bit, however would recommend on the whole.

I had a great experience recently buying my new car with salesperson Gordon Edgar, in Edinburgh. He was extremely helpful, answering any questions I had, and the entire process ran very smoothly. Post sales care has also been exceptional so far, some minor issues were reported and my car had immediately been booked in with the garage to resolve. It’s been very much appreciated and wouldn’t hesitate to go to them again in the future.

Dealing with Gordon was a pleasure. He was professional and relatable. He made the process of purchasing my car very smooth. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car.
