Our company provided professional inventory services to Jenkins Property Lettings following instructions from their agency on behalf of landlords.

Unfortunately, despite the services being completed, payment for our work has not been received and repeated attempts to resolve the matter directly with the business have not been successful.

During attempts to recover payment, we also became aware through conversations with landlords that there appear to be wider issues affecting multiple parties, including concerns around deposits, rent payments and general communication with the agency.

We raised a formal complaint and requested basic compliance documentation such as evidence of Client Money Protection and insurance, but this information was not provided and communication was subsequently cut off.

As a result, the matter has now been escalated to the relevant redress and regulatory bodies.

We always prefer to resolve matters professionally and directly with agents we work with, but unfortunately this situation has not allowed for that.

Based on our experience, we would advise landlords and contractors to ensure they carry out thorough due diligence and keep clear records when dealing with this agency.

Jenkins were recommended by a family member. Initially I was hesitant as they are not 'an established local name'. How wrong I was! The service they provided surpassed other more well known companies I've used previously and Barbara was a joy to deal with. Professional, dedicated and a personalised service - which kept me up to date throughout. The icing on the cake was a sale within two weeks of appointing Jenkins! I'm a convert!

Every single person that we have spoken to, or dealt with at Jenkins Property has been first class. We put our house on the market in February, after exploring some alternative estate agents in the area, we knew when we met Paul that we wouldn't be looking any further. Our house sold in 3 weeks, and whilst the process within the chain has been bumpy at times, Jenkins have gone over an above and never let us down. We sold our property through Jenkins and had a fantastic service from start to finish. Chris took the property on the market and within 2 weeks we had 2 offers from buyers in a place to move forward straight away. It was a hard transaction with no fault of Jenkins and they went above and beyond for us. Georgie worked tirelessly to get the sale through and kept the chain together to finally get the move to happen. We were always informed of any update and they quickly dealt with any issues that happened within the chain. I would recommend anyone that's looking at renting a property to completely avoid Jenkins at all costs. We rented a property which was completely botched from start to finish. The company employees lack knowledge of what is required to legally rent a property - we asked for a gas safety certificate for a log fire and were told they didn't realise we needed one, luckily we requested one because it came back not fit for use (but was used as a selling point.) We had constant issues with the house, from an internal door used as the front door to mould in the bathroom. We finally had to get the council involved when I fell pregnant, due to the state of the house potentially causing harm to myself and baby, otherwise repairs would've just been left.
The staff turn over is extremely high, from people being fired, 'running away' and leaving, so we constantly had to deal with different people, having to explain over again our position. One of the employees even suggested that we shouldn't have signed a new contract for another year if we weren't happy - so we should cover the costs of moving because the landlord and themselves are unable to complete basic maintenance to a property they represent/own?! We have dealt with some awful estate agents in our time, but this company by far is the worst by a long stretch.

We were selling our property and had a particularly difficult transfer. Although it wasn't to Jenkins' benefit at all, they gave us great advice and managed everything perfectly. Since Nikki and Bradley took over we've been really pleased with how promptly they have handled any issues and they've been really easy to liaise with.

We experienced a nationwide estate agent who had the property on sale for 8 months with very little interest.
We put it to Jenkins they did there stuff on the marketing and with their proactive marketing the property was sold within a month at a higher price than the nationwide agent.
