Sadly after using this dentist for the last 3 yrs on and off after moving to Manchester, i have been left very very saddened by the way they have ended out relationship.
In March 2020, i went to them to have my front tooth composite bonding repaired as it had come loose ( i have been having this same tooth done with composite bonding for nearly 10yrs ) The Dentist repaired the tooth and all was ok . He did however suggest that i should maybe think about getting veneers for the front tooth as these would last longer but they where a lot more expensive.
Months later the composite bonding had come off again, and i went back to see them to have it repaired again., which they did without problem.
After a few weeks the front composite bonding had begun to come loose, so i called up and requested to see the dentist for them to just do a repair on it, as it was not off but loose.
The dentist then called me back and informed me that he would not be willing to do composite bonding on the tooth any more as it was not working well and he would now suggest having veneers instead , i was hesitate as the price was so much more then just composite bonding, but he said if i did not do veneers he would not see me.
I said i would think about it and get back to them, sadly 2 days later my whole front tooth fell off and i had not choice but to go with his advice.
I booked in for the veneers at over £300+ each , and i needed a minimum of 2 .. we did come to an agreement that he would take off the cost of the composite from the previous appointment from the total fee for veneers which i thought was fair.
Sadly the day before my appointment , i found out i needed to replace my boiler as it had stopped working and was not able to be repaired. With this in mind i needed to save money, so i called the dentist to see if i could get a refund of my deposit and cancel the appointment until another time.
Sadly the dentist was not very understanding and took offence , saying that i could get a refund of the deposit and the cost of the composite veneers BUT i would be removed from the practise as if i got the work done elsewhere he did not want to see me as a patient.
I explained that i was not having the work done anywhere , but in fact needed to buy a new boiler and needed the money for that, so sadly teeth over hot water and heating seemed like a stupid choice.
I got my refund and that was the end of that.
Fast forward to today when i sadly had my filling on my back tooth fall out, i called the dentist to request an appointment to be told that as i was never registered with them , they would not be able to help me.
Apparently i never filled out the registration form after my first appointment 3yrs ago , and even though i have been with them for 3 yrs and seen the dentist numerous times, NEVER having been questioned again about not being registered, they would not help me as i was effected not registered.
Knowing that many dentists are not taking new patients Due to Covid, i am very shocked and let down by this clinic, as they have now left me in pain and not able to get my filling done !
