Ordering is easy — but if something goes wrong, you’re completely on your own.
I’m extremely disappointed with Instashop’s customer service. I received a damaged order and immediately contacted support to arrange a return. Since then, I’ve sent countless messages (well over 100) and have been waiting for a callback that never came. I have now been waiting almost 8 hours for any response or assistance.
This is not the first time I’ve had issues with their service, but this experience has been the worst. There has been zero follow-up, no resolution, and no accountability.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I had to contact the shop owner myself to resolve the issue. He was the one who arranged for a driver to pick up the damaged items — not Instashop. A third party took responsibility while the platform I ordered through did absolutely nothing.
I had to cancel my plans and stay home all day just to try and fix a problem I didn’t cause. Instashop showed no consideration for my time, responsibilities, or the inconvenience this situation caused.
When a company makes it this difficult to return damaged items and offers no real customer support, it shows a serious lack of respect for customers. This experience has been exhausting and extremely disappointing.

Spennies in instashop deducts for any cancelled and removed items from basket and when I raise it to instashop they don’t investigate and voucher it’s not counted when added to your total payment bc they deduct all the amount. I request invistigation for all my spennies order and it was not done and I was not communicated !!! This happened several times and if they provide you with their recite provide them with your deduction bank statement . This is a complaint and I want invistigation and refund for removed items from all spennies orders
Damaged product…
I have been disappointed several times over the past three years with instashop but today was the cherry on the cake.
I received a product that was not just not what I had ordered but it was damaged too. The packet was torn and stapled back with the items in the bag still very much exposed.
I called instashop and sent them pictures of the product. They said that the driver would pass by to pick up the item for an exchange. I informed them that I would be leaving in two hours and if they came after that, no one would be home. The person said that the driver would be there before I left. It’s two hours since the call and no word from instashop, neither has the driver passed by. I would gladly leave a picture here, if there was an option.
Useless Customer service
I ordered at 11pm. Waited until 12:43am as the order is tagged as "out for delivery" Tried numerous time to use their "Contact Us" which is COMPLETELY USELESS AND VERY LIMITED. until I got a notification that tha shop is already closed. USELESS. THIS APP IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH USING AT ALL ANYMORE. I DELETED MY ACCOUNT IN INSTANT. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

Ok let me make this short and clear. I ordered a chips from instashop because i was hungry. AND THE ORDER TOOK 180 LONG MINUTES JUST FOR 1 SINGULAR BAG OF CHIPS. The wait times are just pmo

I have ordered my stuff from instashop and it was supposed to be delivered in around 40 minutes. I have waited 6 hours and didn't receive my order. I wrote to the customer service on the App and emailed them and no one replied.
I had to get to the shop and collect my groceries. After that they marked the order in the App that it is delivered and I got a message telling me that we will try to avoid that next time. I doubt that will be next time. A very careless customer service, underrating their customers and I don't not recommend using their services.

I ordered two things, one was 40 dirhams another one 8 dirhams. They excluded the one for 40 dirhams from the order and kept the one for 8 without asking. I tried to text and call but I got zero reply. I couldn’t amend or cancel my order. At the end the status says delivered and I have nothing next to my door. Real magic from instashop. They also took the 30 dirham coupon that they gifted me)

Their products say one price, and at checkout you get charged more. You can't cancel the order or speak to anyone. They'll say you qualify for free delivery and then charge AED 8-10 for delivery fees.

Very bad experience with Instashop customer service and the app.
1. Orders from specific supermarkets are up to 3hours late on a regular basis. Products are always out of stock.
2. Customer service does not answer nor solve the problem.
3. The app does not give the correct delivery time. So expect to be stuck at home waiting for youd delivery for 3 hours (true story) more than one time while receiving missing products

Let me say it loud and clear: this app is an absolute disgrace when it comes to reliability, customer service, and the sheer audacity of charging people for a service they clearly can't provide properly.
They throw around terms like “service fee” and “preparation fee” like you’re getting premium service - but what you’re really paying for is incompetence wrapped in a broken app experience.
Missing orders? That’s basically a feature at this point. Orders disappear into the void, and you're left sitting there like an idiot, wondering why you even trusted this app with your time and money in the first place.
Customer support? Laughably slow. You have to report the same issue TWICE just to get a callback — and even then, they’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to respond. When they finally grace you with a phone call, their responses are vague, clueless, and completely unhelpful. They can’t tell you if they’ve reached the shop, they don’t know the status of your order, and they certainly can’t give you a real delivery time.
What they can do though, is insult your intelligence by offering you a 10 or 20 AED voucher as if that somehow makes up for a ruined schedule, wasted time, and broken expectations. But of course, the voucher can only be used on their useless app again – meaning you’re forced back into the same broken system like a fool.
This isn’t just bad service. It’s maliciously careless. They rely on customer tolerance and emotional manipulation. They know most people will settle for a few dirhams just to move on. But this is unacceptable. A refund should be standard as per bank policies, not a pathetic, forced “voucher” to keep you trapped.
InstaShop: Instant Delivery To Your Door?
More like: Gone Orders in an Instant.
A service this unreliable has no business charging anyone a dirham. If you're thinking about trying it, do yourself a favor and don’t.
(I love how they ask for 'Date of experience' as if this would have been the only time they messed about.)
