I did the offer of the app for a year. I did not want to renew. They cancelled my subscription and still took the money and are refusing to pay it back. So beware of these scammers I will be taking legal advise

I contacted the Independent about an article regarding my son having a wealth check, My son sadly killed himself due to the stress's of everyday life, he was very badly coerced throughout his married life his wife was only interested in getting on, he was having intrusive thoughts but she would not let him get professional help in case it made a problem for future employment, he did have contact with the Samaritans but sadly he took his life, I asked the Independent to kindly remove the article but bluntly refused I don't think it's correct the article shows him in a happy family surroundings but sadly this was all a lie, on the day he took his life his wife knew he was struggling but went to work and left him alone, she came home he was dead.

keep well clear,signed up for their 6 months for £1,then £99 after that,but two months into the offer decided waste of time so cancelled the subsciption.went to check my online banking yesterday and £99 was missing,taken out by the independant,could not beleive it,no warning,so when i got a hold of them they said they dont give warning of auto renewal witch i cancelled in the first place,and wont get my money back,this is stealing money from you,made appointment with my bank and they agree,so we will do all we can to get my money back,how can they do something like that and get away with it,not much wonder or the terrible ratings,would not have even give the one star,minus 5 if i could,hope they go down thr drain for what they do,cant get over the shock what they have done to me,they will probably reply with a sad story but dont beleive a word they say

I was looking for information about the good doctor and they wrote the biggest spoiler of the whole series in the title of the web page.

It only lived up to it's name for the first couple of years and since then has turned into a tabloid for Waitrose shoppers . No wonder it was one of the first newspapers to almost go out of print . Still it worms on in online form , spamming news feeds on face book with less then tabloid click bait , filled with non news events . Fake premises anything to keep having a day off real journalism and fuel gossip and speculation about non events . They censor their comments section to make it look they've engaged an audience rather then repulsed one. Which would be clear if they had no control over the comments section.
Journalists used to be told to go out and find a story. Now it appears at the Independent the journalist must go out and find the click bait and failing that the Troll bait. No wonder journalism is no longer an attractive career choice for the majority of Britain's brightest graduates .

NO WARNING that automatic annual renewal of subscription is due - I only realised on the day the payment came out of my account and despite contacting customer services on the same day I was advised I could not claim a refund. Most companies give some warning before an annual subscription fee is taken, not so the Independent.

Absolute rubbish! Pure propaganda.

Over the last few years we have bought 4 fireplaces and 1 fire surround [ for 3 seperate houses ] from Warm Living in Wigan and had always been pleased with the purchases and services received. After the last fireplace was installed in our house [hole in the wall] their engineer was booked religiously to service the fire. It was last serviced in March this year and a part was replaced (we have receipt), by the gas safe engineer J....s who had looked after it before and there hadn’t previously even any issues until then. A few days after the service and the part was replaced, my husband went to put the fire on, but it would not work.My husband then contacted J...s who serviced it and he was told he would make arrangements to come and look at it again. We waited several weeks for him to come out and had to keep contacting him then eventually he said he wanted the money for the part upfront for a part he THOUGHT it needed to fix it. He never came for the money. I told my husband that if he did eventually come for the money to get a reciept as by this stage we was loosing confidence.
At some stage we made arrangements with the showroom for another engineer to come out and M... came out about 4-5 weeks ago. He said he WASNT SURE which part had gone but he would order the cheapest part and work up from there.
We even visited the showroom in person as no-one was getting back to us.The day after visiting the showroom Tony phoned to say the part was in and he would contact M....
We was told M... was going on holiday around this time so we waited a while but did not get any further communication from the shop. I texted M... but he ignored my message. I facebooked a message to the showroom and was ignored again, twice. I told them they was leaving us without heat and we had just found out our dog has a tumour. This whole situation has been upsetting.
I really dont know what their playing at. How they can treat people this way.
They obviously dont want to be bothered fixing fires.
They obviously have not got enough engineers.
Before YOU buy a fire, ask them how confident they are of meeting these requirements should anything go wrong.
Well we now dont want anything further to do with Warm Living. You can put the part where the sun dont shine.

I was charged £20 I did not authorise and I cannot get subscription ,"services" to reply.
