Account locked, unresponsive customer service

I second the previous review. They actually locked my account during a period when I could not get back to them promptly for an annual review as my father was having a lot of issues and was hospitalised! I was unable to receive deposits into the accounts and had to call them on 17 Feb 26 got told it will be marked urgent.Three weeks later, my account is still locked! Please avoid if you want an account that works.

What a pile of crap this bank is …,they acuse you of stealing your own money they also are giving back handers to finacial ombudsman employees to make sure disappointed customers don’t get the right disisions . And I know some one is working inside giving out customers pin s and information don’t bank with them

Absolutely awful, they have froze my bank account as they are reviewing my account, didn’t tell me I found out when I tried to use my card and was declined, wasn’t until I phoned to find out why they said it was under review, but couldn’t tell me what they were reviewing or how long it will take before I can use my card and have access to my money!!! Absolutely disgraceful, how I’m meant to do day to day things without access to my bank account is ridiculous! I have called numerous times to be told it’s under review and I will be informed via a text or email when they done but can’t give me any timeline how long this will be! You can’t even speak to the accounts review team to get some answers as to why they have done this!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Worst bank

Had to prove who i was at a branch, they told me there was no block on my account and id now be able to log into online banking. 2 days later i still cant use my card for any transaction, cant log into online banking, and cant verify identity on phone call. The worst bank iv ever used cant even spend my own money

Issue with fraudulent act on account

I called in without an appointment & spoke with a lovely lady called Jackie Gallagher at the Newcastle-under-Lyme branch. She was so helpful, kind, patient & supportive. Helped me get my account sorted on my new device & also helped with making a call regarding a fraud activity on my account. Jackie was fantastic & I want to thank her so much for everything she did for me.

Une catastrophe

Client professionnel et particulier depuis plus de 15 ans, je constate avec regret que la qualité de service de cette banque s’est fortement dégradée au cours des cinq dernières années.

Il n’y a plus de véritable suivi : aucun responsable de compte professionnel réellement disponible, une prise de contact limitée aux mails — qui restent sans réponse — et un turnover particulièrement important.

Cette situation n’est plus acceptable. Je change donc de banque.

Incredibly clunky limited app and bad experience

I signed up for a credit card and my experience has been terrible. If you don't have an HSBC bank account it's impossible to make payments, set up your direct debit or amend it via the app. You have to go to the chat, get a link to an online form to fill in with all your details. Madness in the modern age. I would not recommend, extremely clunky technology.

I would never ever ever recommend HSBC bank to anybody they are a useless bank. Haven’t got a clue what they’re doing in three years. I have had four bank managers and four bank managers have been sacked due to this representation.

HSBC deserve 0 Stars

If I could give HSBC less than 1 star, I would. They have made it impossible to complete several tasks which I have completed easily with several other banks. Threatening to close business bank accounts whilst the business owner is in hospital. Putting red tape at every turn so nothing is achievable without significant time and stress. Having gone round In circles online and on the phone, and then turning up to branch where they couldnt help until id made appointment. I arrive for my business account meeting, only to find no Branch staff are trained in Business banking...spent 1.5 hrs with the HSBC Pawns trying to help and ultimately failing when met with their own red tape. Utterly unbelievable.

Soy estranjero y el día que me fui de Acapulco el 27 de enero mí dijo que me enviara un email y lo espero aún.
Un banco de bandidos y de mala educación.
Voy a volver al banco para recuperar mi dinero ya que me obligaron de cerar mis cuentas.
Olvidaron que pasó el ouragan después inundaciones y no podíamos ir a Acapulco.
No consejo ni este banco ni Acapulco ni México 🇲🇽.
Lo que pones aya nunca más lo verás

es el peor banco y además ratero!! fuera de México!!!s un banco horrible el peor de todos!

es un banco horrible el peor de todos!! los ejecutivos son los peores!! siempre extremadamente groseros y nunca te resuelven nada, siempre te dicen que llames por teléfono. También es un banco con estrategias muy abusivas por no decir rateras, para que te cambien de tarjeta de debito con categoría advanced a una básica te hacen la vida imposible los ejecutivos telefónicos y de sucursal, se nota que lo hacen a propósito para que te sigan cobrando comisiones de por vida!!! rateros además!!! son lo peor!!! deberían de sacar ese banco asqueroso de México!!!!

HSBC - 5 star bank that should be 10 stars

HSBC for me personally is one of the best banks in Britain, I joined these guys four years ago and have never looked back. An incident occured yesterday where I had lost my card and the customer service team acted swiftly and responded to my situation with the up most professionalism and integrity ensuring that my card was frozen and blocked and were very caring and understanding of the situation. Not all heroes wear capes.
HSBC YOU ROCK!!!

Stressed out dispute team.

If you have a dispute, or problem you need help with. Dont call the dispute team. They are a very stressed out bunch of people who will not help you with youre problem. They are stressed, and will place you on a 2 minute hold to calm you down, when its them that are the stressed ones. Its like they are placing you in a naughty corner for 2 minutes, while they can have a break from you. Useless bunch.

Awful

Awful, can't log in, app keeps showing a fault and asked to take ID into a branch which is 10 miles away. Closed my current account 9 years ago because of it and it's just as bad today. Absolutely rank.

No deja colocar menos estrellas. Es el peor banco que puede existir, te hacen cargos dobles, te cobran por todo, tengo cuenta de nómina y me cobran $300 al mes, no puedo hacer movimientos después de las 10pm, y me quitan dinero de la nada, sin dejar rastro, simplemente lo absorben, llamo y me dicen que no se como se maneja, no me saben dar cuentas del dinero robado, no lo utilicen.
