Howdens - Taunton Recensioni 

Howdens formerly A Plan have been arranging our motor insurance for several years now. Recently we were unfortunate to be involved in an accident, which is always very stressful. Chris at the Taunton branch was exceptional and guided us through the process and got us legal support for this no fault incident. He always had regular updates with us and although unwanted the process was smooth with our repaired vehicle back with us in 21 days from the collision. It is possible to surf the net and get cheaper insurance but you will never get the support that we have received and the small extra cost is worth every penny. Appalling service, second time I have an issue. Originally had fitted bedroom furniture. Only to find you needed a carpenter to make parts of the units. Also design was incorrect leaving gaps / draws wouldn't open etc
Second issue is gas hob under warranty, took 14 days for engineer who condemned the hob. Howdens Taunton then told me it could be fixed, then they said it this can only be done, if a gas isolating valve was fitted. I investigated this by removing my oven, to find a gas isolating valve. The engineer clearly didn't do his job properly. By now we are into 30 days of no gas hob. They finally agreed to supply a new gas hob and I would get it fitted. My engineer went to fit it, to find that it was warped and didn't sit flat on the worktop. So I called once again Taunton Howdens to explain its was damaged, their replay was "we will have to get our engineer out" . By this time I had run out of patients and put the phone down. They called me back and agreed to refund me once they had collected the damage hob. This was refunded.
Then today I have gone into my howdens account, to find that they have invoiced me for gas hob!!! that I've never had. Unbelievable company. NEVER EVER will I use them.

Really nice people who go that extra mile to be friendly and helpful.
They helped me to correct a stupid error on my part and arranged a pick up of the offending unit, placing it back into stock and crediting my account.

After much deliberation and at the recommendation from my builder I decided to give Howdens Taunton a go for my new kitchen, internal doors, flooring and stair parts. I was not disappointed. Charlotte, one of the kitchen designers was super fantastic, paying special attention to the small detail and considered all of my ‘wants and needs’. I was very impressed with the conception of the design on paper and even more so in reality. I cannot thank each and everyone at Howdens Taunton enough for all of their really super fantastic help, support and more importantly warm, kind friendliness whilst I’ve been on my kitchen journey. Top marks for Howdens Taunton, absolutely brilliant.

The planning experience was incredible. Charlotte was instrumental in achieving our kitchen, offering suggestions throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and the many changes made were always put in to practice. The plan we were given made our kitchen come alive. Amazing, and gave us confidence in our choices. We have exactly what we actually want. We spoke to many different staff members throughout and without exception, all were understanding and able to pick up our account on line. Communication was first class messages passed on and calls returned when promised. The delivery was perfect, everything well packaged and in good condition, Gary and Dave were careful, cheerful and quick, Gary taking time to explain the procedure for any issues we might have. The product is good quality and looks fantastic. We had a craftsman to install it, and it looks amazing. PS. The coffee we were always offered in the showroom was delicious too. Thank you all.

From the time that we had a home visit from Jack to measure our kitchen and to discuss options to the time we actually had it delivered the service has been absolutely fantastic, a 1st class service. Nothing has been to much trouble.
Jack and Matt who we have dealt with have been extremely professional and helpful. Always getting back to you and getting any problems sorted sometimes within a couple of hours e.g. a unit once unpacked was found to have a mark on it and it was needed by our kitchen fitter ( who was also amazing) that day - we had a new one delivered within 2 hours. The shop and delivery staff have also been extremely helpful, friendly and professional.
Top class service from all.
