Good quality as always

Staff always so helpful and always have what you need in stock , I would always recommend this branch.

Ordered one of their kitchens and paid 17k for it. Kitchen designer had come to the house and the plans were drawn up.
The 1 star rating given isn’t aimed so much at the fitted kitchen parts but the appliances that Howdens supply.
I ordered “Lamona” appliances which included a fitted Tumble Dryer.
From the moment we had the Dryer it was one problem to another. Dryer was deemed dangerous to use and could have potentially burned your house down this was due to faulty part inside the Dryer. Was told not to use the Dryer and then had to wait weeks and weeks for a fitter to come out to replace the dangerous part. This wasn’t the end of the problem we were contacted again and the Dryer was recalled again for the same reason “too dangerous to use” so again had to wait weeks and weeks for a fitter to come out to replace a part.
The Dryer recently failed to heat up an engineer was called after inspecting the Dryer he wrote it off and said Howdens would replace the Dryer like for like.
Not satisfied with this Howdens sent out their own fitter who again condemned the Dryer as a write off. Since then Howdens have said they’re not responsible for replacing as the Dryer hadn’t been integrated correctly into the built in cupboards.
An air vent hadn’t been fitted into the plinth at the bottom of the cupboard it was explained to Howdens that the plinth is a clip on clip off and was never in place when the dryer was in use.
Howdens have failed to respond.

All those of you that used Howdens please be aware Lamona dryers are dangerous and could potentially cause a fire or small explosion in your home.
An email had been sent to everyone that had ever purchased a Lamona dryer through Howdens but the engineer who visited my home explained that there are thousands out there that never responded to the email.
So why haven’t Howdens taken a more direct approach in writing to its customers who have purchased these products through them.

From design to delivery service could not have been better

Needed some information on fire doors and frames etc very knowledgeable and helpful

Staff are always polite, helpful and know their stuff. Which is all you can ask for. Products are generally available to collect same day or within a couple of days at the worst.

Polite Friendly and Helpful what more could you ask for.

Can't speak highly enough of the people in this branch. To start the kitchen itself is fantastic, great price, we are very pleased.
The process was very straight forward, we were helped and assisted throughout. What was commendable was if we had an idea that didn't work the staff and our designer politely and professionally pointed it out, suggesting an alternative. Impressive
All the staff were great, front counter, office and whare house. Hollie our designer was amazing, really good at her job, with her support and guidance we have a great kitchen.

I can't recommend Howdens in Southsea highly enough for helping us design plan and deliver our new bedroom furniture! Jake Hill has been truly excellent in helping us with all of the design and planning decisions. He made the whole process so simple and complete. Jakes brilliant knowledge, understanding and customer service skills gave us complete confidence throughout. The team at Howdens Southsea certainly put quality assurance at the very heart in all that they do to ensure great customer satisfaction! Thank you.

Items were purchased from the porchester branch without my knowledge..no phone call made to me to check if the customer could use my account.. what is the point of a trade account if anyone can use it based on having a name and a post code

I would like to say a huge thank you to Hollie, who has helped me again in achieving my dream kitchen. This is the second time Hollie from the Southsea branch has assisted me with planning. I have a very keen eye for detail and want everything just so, I love interior designing and Hollie is so on my wavelength helping me tweak things. Cannot recommend Hollie enough. Thank you, CRAIG, she needs A PAY RISE.

The product is of good quality but the customer service is shocking. There was a serious lack of communication, which left us with a kitchen we didn’t expect.

We were mis-sold plans which Howdens in Southsea said they could execute but were later told this wasn’t possible, after work had already commenced.

Even though the kitchen was measured on an initial visit, the permanent fixtures were not taken into account and we had to buy new equipment to make up for an incorrectly measured kitchen.

When the work was meant to start, Howdens hadn’t even sent our contractor the kitchen plan. This delayed the start date.

When notifying Howdens of our concerns, we were told these problems should have been raised sooner. However, these only became apparent after the kitchen was installed and nothing was communicated to us by Howdens. We are not mind-readers, after all!

We will be taking our custom elsewhere for future house projects.

We would advise people to stay away from this business if you want a smooth job and clarity throughout

Hollie was on board from planning to installation, she really took on what we needed with our new kitchen with some great ideas, and knows her stuff, making everything seamless. Even when we needed to make changes it was no trouble. She came out again once the area was boarded just ensure the dimensions were OK. Delivery was quick and easy with not one item missing!

Very helpful

It took us quite a while to finally decide our exact kitchen outlay. We got there in the end , with the help/ input from hollie n other staff members, always on the end of phone, if we required any advice/support. Otherall it help our kitchen project go smoothly, which was a great help , with a big project.
Matirals/units were delivered on agreed date. And additional stock in store if we required any bits.
