bought our kitchen from howdens in…
bought our kitchen from howdens in august 2021 . the kitchen units and cooker are all fine but a really bad communication level from them . we spoke to paula ellis who designed our kitchen and gave us a price . we were contacted to pay the price in full 2 days before installation began . howdens rang and tried to charge us 1000 pound more than we had been quoted . of course we challenged this and said it wasnt right . howdens said they would check and ring us back which they did . they then said they had got us mixed up with another customer and quoted the correct price we had been origionally told . during installation our extractor fan had to be changed by the builder , he took it back to howdens and exchanged it or us . howdens then notified us the filter was not in the box when it was returned and promptly charged us for it . we do not have the filter and told them this . we had to pay . howdens said they would contact their fianance department , however, we are still waiting for this to be sorted 6weeks later . my advice , be very careful .

Damaged kitchen benchs
Bought a kitchen bench from local branch. After getting the bench home I noticed a dent on a part of the bench. I mentioned it to the branch staff. They seemed surprised there was any damage. I explained I would try to used the bench and hide the fault. They told me if I wanted an exchange I would need to bring it in. I needed another bench and asked if we could check for faults. Another bench was checked and it had faults. I then eventually had to bring the original bench back as I couldn't work the fault into the corner joint. I got it exchanged again two benches where checked and both were damaged. The second one was at the end of the bench and the member of staff said would I take that one. I said take something off the price of it and I will. I was told you are getting at £40 anyway and would not get anything off ( it was in fact more than that). So I said just get me one that isn't damaged. The attitude I sensed from one of the members of staff was very unprofessional to say the least. I have previously been over-charged by £400 plus from this branch in the past. Not good.
