Great service, friendly staff and very helpful

Staff at the Reading branch were very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Friendly and experienced design team.

Very helpful staff, from the designer to front sales to the warehouse staff.

From the moment we walked into the Reading store Stephen Grantham rose to attend to us without any appointment and was extremely attentive. He was very helpful without ever being pushy.

Within 24 hours he came to measure our property and produced a detailed design very shortly thereafter. The time spent reviewing this in the store with Stephen enabled us to finesse our requirements and choose units and colours exactly to our requirements. He was clearly extremely knowledgeable.

We proceeded quickly to order and Howdens marched exactly to our timescale delivering the kitchen and even more helpfully collaborating with our chosen fitter on the nuts and bolts. This removed a lot of potential worries from the process.

In summary the whole process from start to finish went very smoothly and we absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen.

We ordered our kitchen from Reading UK, Steve was so friendly, kind and attentive. A very good communicator too. He is skilled and you can tell he loves his job. He price matched us and we were very happy so far. Our kitchen has arrived in our new home, but due to work we haven't been able to go over and see the work that has been started with the Handyman's man. We will see it next week but so far Handyman and his team have not made any complaints about any missing parts and he is very active in helping to sort out house. Overall, I haven't seen the parts of the kitchen being built yet but the communication however with Steve (Reading branch) and the service he provided is just fantastic. Thank you Steve.

Steve is brilliant a CAN DO attitude nothing too much trouble I had over 20 meetings with Steve April 2024 - August 2024 and we worked on over 10 different kitchen designs for my overall kitchen plan. The final computer generated design we did in June was achieved in August amazing. He is always there for you email, text even when on holiday. Howdens along with Steve ‘Make it Happen’ before - during - after service. Highly recommend. Thank You Steve Reading branch Portman Road.

Bought new Chilcomb kitchen from Howdens, very pleased with the quality and the service from the company. Suzey at the Tilehurst branch measured up at my home and then produced a good design. The visual representation was really nice to have as well.
I would also like to thank Underwood Construction team, who did a superb fitting.

Suzey - has been the most hardworking & clever kitchen designer ever. I’ve worked with her now on 2 projects and nothing is ever too much bother! I adore my new kitchen in a newly renovated apartment.

Love our Howden kitchen, we placed a big order in Howden via Suzey. She has been helping us in the past couple of months from designing to fitting. There was endless back and forth during this process, she’s always been patient and get back to us promptly. Highly recommend Howden Reading Tilehurst team if you are looking for a new kitchen.

Two years ago Suzey from the Tilehurst Reading depo designed an amazing in frame kitchen. Our main goal was to have symmetry that gave the look of a handmade kitchen. Suzey understood exactly what we wanted and came up with a brilliant plan first time. We have had so many compliments on the kitchen since it has been fitted. Being in frame with skirting boards made it a lot more fiddly than a standard kitchen but Suzey explained everything to our fitter and provided great instructions. We have recently decided to do our utility / boot room and was thrilled to hear Suzey had returned after mat leave to our local depo. Again she has designed a perfect bootility for us. Our room has all of our services in and therefore required a lot of bespoke work. Suzey worked through all of this with us and came up with brilliant ideas to really maximise our storage without making the room look overcrowded.

On both occasions working with Suzey has been fab, she really listened to what we wanted and therefore came up with a design that we were really happy with. Suzey is very thorough and precise - she also loves symmetry like we do, we found her very easy to talk to and nothing was too much trouble.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a new kitchen or design to pay Suzey a visit. We have planned several kitchens before (with all different companies) for previous renovations but felt the service we received from Suzey has been by far the best! We really wouldn’t use anyone else now we have found our symmetry queen!

Also the quality of our Howdens kitchen is great - it still looks brand new after two and a half years of heavy family use. I would have the Howdens chilcomb range again and would highly recommend the in frame range for that handmade look!

We have purchased a lot of items from the Reading depo and all the staff are so helpful and knowledgable - clearly a great team that work well together. Our renovations have gone on for over two years so we seems to be quite regularly paying Howdens a visit for one thing or another. It’s great to also see the same staff members each time for continuity.
