A huge thank you to Howdens in Hastings, namely Jordan, who helped so much with the design and supply of my new kitchen. Not an easy one, walls removed and already loads of oak beams in situ. We also had a great kitchen fitter! Beautiful kitchen, great service and would highly recommend. *****

The staff at my local branch, have always gone that bit extra to help me. Making sure I order what is right for the job, not just trying to sell me what I don't need.

Helpful staff with a good knowledge of the products they stock. Also, they carry a wide range of stock that can be collected on the day.

Excellent service from start to finish with our fabulous new kitchen. Carys was attentive to our needs and wants for our new kitchen. She designed and offered guidance around the most suitable appliances and units. She was happy to adjust and negotiate the most cost effective price for us. We absolutely love the final product and would highly recommend Howdens.

We recently bought kitchen and utility units with quartz worktops from Howdens at Hastings we bought it on a friend’s account who is a kitchen fitter.
I made it clear when the survey took place that the kitchen work tops would be done first and at a later date when the kitchen was up and running, the utility, because as we were refurbishing we were using the utility as a makeshift kitchen. The kitchen units were fitted and the tops were templated and fitted.
We had been quoted for the kitchen and utility work tops by another company £3637.13 and Howdens agreed to price match this to win the contract; we had this in writing from Howdens.
Three weeks later Howdens sent an invoice for £3,914.23 just for the Kitchen tops. They told me because of two separate visits for templating and fitting (which I had ensured they knew about) the price has changed. Howdens denied that I had told them it would be two separate visits. To make it clear Howdens did not stipulate to us that either the templating or the fitting should be done on the same day.
We had a meeting with the manager at Hastings, in which she made it clear that to avoid charges or legal fees to the kitchen fitter’s account we must pay the £3914.23. We felt as if this was a threat and that we were bullied into agreeing to this.
The Hastings manager then refused to complete the contract unless we paid an additional £1393.64 up front for the utility room tops.
I did email customer services and asked them to please escalate the matter to senior management; this was ignored, and was passed back to the manager at Hastings.
We were not at fault at all with any of this, and Howdens changed our terms and conditions half way through the contract.
I am very disappointed in Howdens and their conduct. I hope this isn’t indicative of their usual way of conducting business.
Howdens agreed to price match to win the contract and then went back on their word, which in my view is disgraceful and unethical behaviour.
I think that we were stitched up, so just be very careful if Howdens agree to price match. You could be being misled as we were.

Had the best experience with howdens building our dream kitchen. Mollie was our kitchen designer and she was with us every step of the way.
No questions or change in plan was a problem for mollie. She was brilliant. 5* service. Will highly recommend!

Great advice from Alfie. The Kitchen was delivered earlier than promised which was great. Really happy with the quality of the cabinets. All in all, a great experience.

As a customer of 15 years I expected to be buying at competitive prices. After my recent purchase I was astonished at the cost. I purchased the same products through another outlet at just over a 1/4 of the cost, and returned the ones brought from Howdens.
The next day i needed an integrated washer/dryer. Howdens were 50% more expensive ( after my trade discount) than another online retailer for an almost identical product. Shop around guys, they are no longer competitive as they once were.
