Easy service very friendly

Used before, very helpful

I purchased engineered wood flooring from Howdens (Enfield branch) in April 2025, largely based on the product imagery online.

The promotional photos showed a beautiful, consistent dark oak tone, which gave us full confidence in our selection.

Unfortunately, the product that arrived bore little resemblance to those images. While I understand that natural wood includes some variation, this flooring presented four to five dramatically different shades—from very light to almost black—making the installation look completely mismatched. The extent of variation was nowhere near what was implied by the photos, which remained unchanged even after I raised the issue.

To make matters worse, the order was delivered to the wrong address and left outside overnight. We weren't able to inspect the flooring before fitting began. Howdens offered one replacement pack, but that only made things worse due to the lighter tone.

I raised a formal complaint, but aside from citing a manufacturing “fuming process”—which was never explained prior—they declined to take any meaningful responsibility. Marketing was “made aware,” yet nothing has changed.

I would strongly advise others to view this product in person and not rely on the website images. What you see may not be what you get.

Visited the Enfield branch previously to purchase kitchen cabinets and was served by the lovely Yasmine. Exceptional customer service and very friendly. My husband also visited the Enfield branch recently and was greeted by Yasmine and was very happy with the friendly customer service he received. She was very helpful and made our shopping experience amazing! She is an AMAZING asset to your company

Amazing design and really good quality

The service we had a Howdens Enfield was amazing. Scott and his colleagues helped us select cabinets for the utility room. The advice and information given was very useful. I have found over the years that the Howdens brimsdown branch is the most helpful and friendliest branch in north London The staff are very accommodating because i know i can be quite demanding but they always sort out any difficulties in a professional and quick way.

Where fo I start, I purchase a kitchen from them in December and paid upfront on an agreed price . I bought the the kitchen in good faith to the agreed kitchen design. When my contractor started to fit the kitchen I was short of one wall cabinet, now remember I bought the kitchen on a design. So I went back and told them I was one missing. Instead they made me purchase the cabinet again so why would I pay for an another cabinet if I agreed a price on the kitchen plan. I then complained to head office and they agreed just to give half my money back. I shouldn’t have paid in the first place as I paid it on the design. Absolute disgraceful behaviour and I plan to take this further.
