Excellent service again from Howdens. Been using for over 20 years. Wouldn't buy a kitchen from anywhere else. Design service is impeccable. Mike was spot on to the millimeter. Excellent price too.

Paid £10900 (not including fitting) for Chilcomb kitchen (Solid wood, grain effect). Quality is good and no problem with sales, delivery or fitting which was great. However. they always look streaked/dirty and difficult to clean any marks from them. Even when you don't touch them marks appear. Also waiting for two replacements cupboards as hot fat was spilt on them. Have contacted fitter who has ordered them (9 days ago but haven't heard back yet).
TBH, the material and paint used for these units is ridiculous. Dependant on teh light they look dirty and streaked. When you try to clean them with soapy water it often makes them look worse and streak more.

Fridge freezer died after 2 years and 9 months of use. We got it delivered early, so we have technically had it 3 years, I reported the issue but apparently we were 3 days out of warranty, I was more or less told tough luck! I escalated this to their customer services, after a further 3 days I had no choice but to buy a new appliance, as I found out a FF is probably the only kitchen appliance you can’t do without. At day 7 after reporting it they have come back and said best they would offer as a “good will gesture” would be to have a look at it. Of course I had to recycle the appliance when I purchased the replacement, they have refused to contribute anything to the cost of my replacement.
After doing some research I have also realised that Lamona products are expensive compared to alternatives available in the market place.

Mike picked up a kitchen quotation request for a refurb project at short notice and turn it around extremely quickly. He always gives exceptional service, he is super helpful. From order to delivery, the order was dealt with quickly and in the property, allowing the joiner to continue with the project.

The fact that howdens were trade only.Dont agree with new policies that my customers have to put a deposit on a kitchen even before I get plans.I have always recommended Howdens and have had an account for over 20 yrs.Now I feel I'm not the priority. Feel very embarrassed going to price kitchens off a picture related to their kitchen

Bought flooring for a garage/office which then began to move, rise and split. Howdens sent out a members of staff with local depot HOWDENS DUNFERMLINE offering a full refund. Correspondence and communication was overall poor, promises to call you back but didnt etc. Then the offer of full refund was withdrawn, offer of boxes of additional flooring instead. Then refusal to accept liability and telling the customer to organise independent review of flooring etc. I guess the true cabilier of any company is how they deal with issues when things go wrong and HOWDENS DUNFERMLINE have continually changed the goal posts/offering refunds in writing then withdrawing them. Now having to take them TO COURT to get the refund they promised. So please BEWARE HOWDENS DUNFERMLINE, if things go wrong these guys really do not want to help.

Good afternoon, I was placed on a secondment from my branch helping to bring in a new stock control system and didn`t return to the Dunfermline team until last Tuesday. Your flooring issue has been sitting dormant as I was the last person dealing with you, again, I apologise.
I have spoken to my manager, and she would like to offer you a full refund as a good will gesture on what you paid for the flooring.
The flooring hasn`t failed, so we believe there may be something under the flooring that has possibly caused the issue.
Possible causes can be a cement screed floor may have hollows and peaks or a timber floor can have insufficient framing/spacing between joists allowing movement in transit areas, both were impossible to inspect by our Rep as the flooring was still in place.
This is our best offer of a resolution and would enable you to purchase flooring which may be more suitable for your office. We have a former joiner now employed in our branch, and he has suggested going for a Rigid click vinyl flooring. If you are using an office chair on wheels then this may be a better option.
I hope you agree that this is the best solution for both of us and you are happy for me to process refund the flooring?

Bought a complete kitchen here, including new flooring. The flooring is faulty and our installer, James Penman, says its up to Howdens to sort it out. In spite of numerous phone calls we can't get a response from this company. Update 1 June. Still no contact from them.
