Im not an easy customer to deal with, I changed design / fitting on the first day!
Bitterne branch absolutely went out of their way to me me back on track.
Clearly advised me on my options, then got the stock from the warehouse and I was on my way.

Super happy, great team that work at Bitterne branch.

Came in with a few sketches and went out with a full plan of just what we wanted, Tom was excellent in his role from design to preparing order, he went that extra mile to smooth the process.

Howdens Bitterne, is classed as a kitchen supply shop but they are dabbling into the wardrobe space and I would suggest that they remain a kitchen supply shop. I secured their services in April 2024 to do a wardrobe for 3 bedroom in my home. They came out to do the measurements which was fine and they suggested some products based on my budget and design. One of the suggestions was the sliding door with glass cupboard, which when it arrived, was more of an iron product instead of wood or some version of it( we were not advised). Knowing the kind of design we asked for they did not recommend safety features like the soft closure etc, I had to ask for it.
They recommended a fitter (Stride and Garrett) and mentioned that it was probably best to go with theirs because their recommended fitters knew their products, so it was a no brainer, we booked one of their fitters.
First of all, the fitter was not communicating through out the process which led me to make numerous back and forth calls to Howdens. Since it's installation, one side of my son's wardrobe almost fell on him, we managed to secure it to the point that it does not open. We went back to Howdens and they have said they would not take responsibility for the wardrobe, and I need to go back to the fitter. A fitter that they recommended. We tried to reach to the fitter on numerous occasions and had no reply.
Howdens provided a service until I paid a full balance and they left me and my family to deal with all of the challenges that came afterwards when the job was not done properly. I have now had to raise the issue with trading standards because this has now because a safety issue. I would think twice before using them as a wardrobe fitter or using one if their recommended fitters.

I am IN LOVE with my new kitchen from Howdens!! I went to the Bitterne showroom and I spoke to Bea. From start to finish she was amazing. She designed me the most gorgeous kitchen and was fantastic with me throughout. No pushy sales tactics and extremely professional. Kitchen was delivered within a week with nothing missing or damaged. I thought getting a new kitchen would be stressful experience but it was perfect from start to finish! I cannot thank Bea enough! Highly recommend Howdens, especially the Bitterne branch.

My experience with Howdens Bitterne has been professional and smooth from start to finish. We have had a number of minor alterations that needed to be made from the initial concept to the final design, and these were never a problem. Any bits we needed changed were ammended quickly and the communication was great throughout. Tom also offered his professional advice on helping us make the right decisions for our kitchen which was greatly appreciated and very insightful.

I would certainly use this branch again in the future.

There was a delivery next door by Howens, contractors on site saw the delivery van hit my car asked the other contactors said did he stop. NO was the answer just drove off, should of the crunching sound was loud!
to this date was promised it would be fixed quick but now just been given the run around having sent emails and no one taken account damage done really upset how i been treated by this company.

I've been with Howdens for a few years now but since using the Bitterne Branch I'm very impressed. The staff are very helpful and go above and beyond in customer service.
