I was blessed to discover this program when I started my RE career back in 2014. As a HFH Affiliate Realtor I have helped over 200 Heroes buy or sell their home in that timeframe. Hi my name is Kathy Colkitt, I'm a branch manager loan officer for 30 years. Unfortunately 3 years ago is when I heard about Homes for Heroes, meaning I would have done at my entire career had I realized not only it was away for me to give back It would also mean how many hundreds probably thousands of heroes I would have been able to have helped in the mortgage process. I've always been a person who gives and I thoroughly love giving back to heroes, going to fire stations talking visiting seeing how their life is, police officers in a store out in their car or at a union meeting and sharing the free benefit that they have as a way to say thank you. My astonished amazement is how surprised everyone whether it's an education, medical, first responder or veteran are surprised when someone hands them lifesavers and says thank you for being a lifesaver.
