Order ready and waiting and team members really helpful - was in store and out again within 5 minutes

A wonderful small store,The staff are always happy to help nothing is to much trouble.A colourful display of plants at the front of the store and a very well looked after garden centre.

My nearest store is Bishops Stortford , but I needed paint that was only in stock at Saffron Walden store. This was my first experience and I have to say , what lovely friendly staff. It made a difference as I spent an extra £50 then I would have due to the helpful staff and easy layout of the store .If you want a more personal approach , this is the store ..

We were directed to the Saffron Walden branch by Cambridge as they did not have the items we wanted in stock. After doing a click and collect it took us 25mins to get there having a notification on the way to say they were ready to be collected. All went very smoothly on collection and were loaded into the car for us. Thank you.

Extremely helpful young man named Tom at the Saffron Walden branch. Went the extra mile to help out. Great asset to Homebase.

I visited on a Saturday morning in late winter.
There were plenty of parking spaces so I was able to park easily.
I was greeted at the door by a lady at customer services. I asked if they sold car oil. She explained they only sell lawnmower oil. I told her of my awful experience I had just had at the local supermarket garage whilst trying to purchase some car oil. The lady offered to help look online for the right type of oil for my car but u explained I knew which type I needed but the supermarket whole couldn't help me determine which of their "car brands specific" oil was the right one for my car.
I then said I needed secateurs and went off to find them in the shop. They were easy to find because the store layout has not ever changed.

Despite there being other customers in the shop, there was no queue at the top and the lady at customer services served me quickly.

Great staff. Very friendly.

Tom, the person who assisted in mixing paint was, friendly, authoritative, provided clear guidance and detailed advice.

Been coming to this branch for 21 years and some of the same staff are still working here! Lovely, friendly, helpful bunch of people and a great product range in the shop.

Staff were great, just that what I wanted wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered.

The process of ordering was very easy although we were given the wrong size of paint. I paid for 5l and my husband was given only 2.5l.
