Popped in to purchase a lawn mower, we were very ably assisted by Colin and able to recycle the old one too. Every member of staff we talked to was very friendly. Great experience.

Checked stock was available & able to collect within a few hours of ordering. A kind young man helped load the boxes into my car. On reflection should have gone for home delivery due to size as struggled to get them out the other end!

We have made several trips to Homebase, Sprowston recently and on each occasion the staff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful.
A young man on the paint department helped us choose correct rollers for the job and price matched the paints we wanted to buy.
I spoke with Ruth Knapp when we made initial enquiries instore about buying an ex display kitchen. There weren’t any but she helpfully suggested other ways I might find a used kitchen as we are only fitting out a small pantry off the kitchen. Having decided that route wasn’t going to work for us we came back to Homebase because of how helpful Ruth had been. She helped us with an affordable plan for our units and emailed details so we were able to consider it and speak with our builders. I phoned Ruth to check out a few details which she answered quickly and we had no hesitation in coming back to order the kitchen and buy flooring. She even made sure we had our paint colour matched so we left the store with all we had come in for in one transaction.
I must also mention the lovely young lady who mixed our paint, she made sure we were completely satisfied with the mix by painting and drying a sample on paper.
It’s so refreshing to receive good service.

Good communication telling me when my item was ready to collect, not too long a wait at the click and collect desk and a lovely lady served me.

was so helpful when I, a complete novice, needed paint, brushes etc to undertake my first painting task. Advice was given on best paint for the job, amount needed, paint brushes, masking tape and wire wool!
So cheerful and good natured, will always try Homebase when I next need decorating materials and hope that it’s Gavin who serves me.

I placed a click and collect order for timber, but was unsure of a couple of things, so called the store and spoke to Julian who was extremely helpful and advised me to continue with order and speak to him instore. At the store I was greeted by a lovely polite lady who found Julian for me. He was so very helpful, gave me the advice I needed and also cut the timber so that it would fit in my car.

I was assisted by two members of staff when I collected a large item I had pre-selected by Click and Collect. One went to find a suitable trolley and the other loaded the package on to the trolley. He then wheeled it out to the car for me and helped me load it. I couldn't have asked for more yet all this this was done without any prompting on my part. Both colleagues were pleasant and friendly into the bargain and the service came with a smile. Real customer service. Thank you very much.

From the moment I walked into Homebase, a colleague of yours asked if I was ok and I asked him to point out the direction of a product, he took me straight there and gave me the best advice and then helped me with my other purchase which was a wallpaper steamer, he knew exactly where that was too, he then took my product to the checkout for me to pay, he was very polite, knowledgeable and friendly, he really is a credit to your company, he is a hidden gem so please tell him from me, thank you, he really made my day. I didn’t get to see the Gentlemans name, but he was a slim older man with grey hair, I was at store Rowntree Way, Norwich, Store number 000254

Ian over in the Norwich store is a testament to customer service. Always polite and friendly, I could imagine in difficult circumstances he thrives too. Thankfully Ian has been supportive so we’ve never had to get there. True example of a great employee

Very helpful staff. When are the till a member of staff asked if I wanted help to put heavy sand bags in my car.

I was looking for help in the gardening section on grass seed, seed soil and netting cover. Colin was very helpful in finding me the products I needed and helped me to sort a trolley for my products. He was very pleasant & professional in his manner.

Ordered online and was all ready to collect, staff were friendly.

I needed a new toilet seat got home thought I had 2 pieces missing? I explained I would be doing it myself
& having a partner with Dementia & Lewy which is getting worse didn’t want to go to the store again! They kindly arranged for a member of staff who lives in the village I do to collect it & sort for me.I then had another
Colleague ring me to they would send someone bring the toilet & fit it for me which they did ,I couldn’t thank them enough for being so helpful ,kind & thoughtful ! The lady told them about my partner & offered to fit it so I didn’t have any more stress . What service! I’ve realised there are still some good people in the world !

Excellent customer service from Carl in the garden centre

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff at Homebase who were absolutely amazing last night. We arrived just 10 minutes before closing and by the time we had chosen our flooring the store was officially closed. The assistant then helped us load onto the trolley and spent time giving advice about the underlay required. He pushed the trolley to the checkout for us and then asked if we would like help loading it into the car. What service! As by the time we left the store it was 20 minutes past closing time. This is a fantastic example of customer service and putting the customer first. Well done to the store manager.

Hi all interested.
I would recommend you DO NOT BUY a kitchen from Homebase, especially from the classic Quaker range.
Purchased several units 3years ago and already failing with Homebase customer services & store manager saying the 10 year guarantee is non-valid as units & worktop have got wet!!!
Believe me, the only moisture the units have received is from normal use and cleaning.
Son had similar issues within the first week, so please beware!!

Therefore kitchen units are not fit for purpose.
