Visited Newmarket store for some paint. We approached the lady (Angela) at the paint counter and she was amazing. She went out of her way to help and give advice. Very happy experience.

One member of staff, Lottie, was particularly helpful, recognising the chaos my two boys were bringing with them and turned a quite frankly disastrous trip into something they still talk about; the day they were shown the magic paint maker, and they're proud as punch that the colour in our utility room was something they helped to create. (from afar.. they obviously weren't allowed to operate the machine but that didn't detract at all from the excitement of being behind the counter!) Thank you, Lottie!

I needed a slightly unususal (for the UK) electrical socket (bulb holder), after searching the internet the only company to list it was Homebase. I already had one which fell apart on installation (sent from China), so looking at the one in Homebase it was nice quality, solid and the metalwork was firm (important for electrical connections). The price was just a few pence more than China as to be expected but a totally different class of product. In and out of the store in just 5 minutes after a quick chat with the friendly cashier, I was pleased with all aspects of the purchase and able to complete the project.

I have been decorating our children’s bedrooms and have needed advice on numerous occasions and Paul at the Newmarket shop has been fab.

Bought a shower hose and head from Homebase in Newmarket. Had to take it out of the blister packing to install. Upon opening and testing, the hose is too short and the pressure from the head is too weak. Tried to return, but they refused to accept because I opened the packaging. How else do you try an item. Absolutely dreadful customer service, pretty sure that goes against consumer rights, who I will be contacting shortly.

I was buying a drill and your assistant Justin was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me make my decision, excellent service, I would definitely look for him again if I had any questions in the future.

Absolutely professional service and kitchen looks incredible. Wasn’t too sure what I wanted but they came out and measured and knocked together a design which we loved. They recommended trustworthy fitters that did an outstanding job of fitting the kitchen, tiling and repairing the ceiling. Literally the dream kitchen. Homebase Newmarket are amazing
