Homebase Newcastle under lyme. After a poor experience with someone on customer service. The manager Iain Sneinton couldn't have been more helpful in sorting everything out. It was much appreciated

Was served by a lady who said her name was Trish. She was antagonistic, kept, arrogant and patronising. If this is the standard of your customer care you will stop selling anything. She deliberately tried to antagonise me which included suggesting the order may not be able to be completed and breaking away from serving me to serve other customers. I can't remember an occasion when the level of customer care was so poor.

When I got to the store there was a lady at the click and collect. There were 2 other ladies unpacking some stock. There was a queue of people eventually, after carrying on unpacking, they thought it might be an idea to stop talking about dogs and get on the tills to help out. Personally, and the other people in the store were saying the same thing, I would have prioritised customers over having a chat whilst unpacking stock. This job could have presumably been done when there weren’t customers waiting.

Homebase click and collect is simple to use. Select your product, pay for it, you are kept up to date by text and email. Collect your product in store- easy. Pleasant staff.

My partner and I went into the Newcastle-Under-Lyme branch earlier this week just to browse at bathrooms to get ideas. We were greeted by Mark Lenton who asked if we needed any assistance with anything and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Not pushy in anyway, no sales spin, just honest ideas, suggestions and generally good old fashioned customer service. Needless to say our 'bathroom window shopping' turned into buying our new bathroom. He even helped us with our flooring, which we got an absolute bargain on! Mark, thank you so much for your help and excellent customer service :)

I just visited 25/7/24 Newcastle under Lyme Homebase in Staffordshire store 000047. I purchased a few things including a Keiko egg chair. The till operator 146705 provided excellent customer service as did the assistant Connor Hedgecock who helped me load it into my car including dismantling the chair legs to fit it in. So refreshing in todays busy world to receive good quality service.

Mark was very helpful throughout the purchase purchased a duel fuel barbaque. He also helped the day before when we purchased some living room furniture. Very friendly and approachable hapoy to help and very knowledgeable about homebase products. Great asset to your workforce.
