Easy and fast

I am always disappointed by the way the plants are looked after at this Homebase. Today I went in and lot of the plants were underwatered and half dead. Still expecting to pay full price for them. Would have bought more but, was underwhelmed. The speed at the tills was very slow.

Went to Homebase earlier in the day but couldn’t make my purchase because I didn’t have £1 for a trolley so tried click and collect. Order ready in under and hour and a lovely chap took the 10 bags of stones to my car and insisted on putting them in for me. Perfect service from the Catford branch.

Amazing staff, your senior manager Ms Joan was especially helpful, kind, took her time to help me, love shopping there, will definitely continue to come, what a great shop!

Bhanu was very helpful and kind at the check out. She was able to assist us with our queries. Thank you!

I visited the Catford branch today . I was served by Joan and May . They where very helpful, helped me load my trolley , and showed me how to put the flower trays around the edge of the trolley , which I never knew !! . Also got me help to load the compost into my car . That was a big help as it was pouring with rain. . Thank you Joan and May a credit to the company .

Ordered 10 laminate floor edging. I drove over an hour to the store (stuck in the middle of nowhere..where have all the stores gone within East London?) On arrival at the store staff advised three of my items had been refunded and the remaining seven had been collected. How this was possible without the order number or my ID? It’s my opinion they were stolen. Staff advised me that what I’d ordered was rarely in and that their stock systems hadn’t been updated since March. This is wholly unacceptable. I wasted time, money and petrol and definitely won’t be using Homebase in the future.

I was shopping at Catford Lewisham store this morning.
I think it’s slightly rude if the staff at the checkout doesn’t even greet or acknowledge the customer. Two of staff at the checkout were talking while serving and even ignoring me at the checkout.

I’ve never had a checkout person who was talking to themselves. Or did you mean talking to each other? that’s also rude if two staff members are having a conversation while you’re being served, and being totally ignored, but normally in the UK you only get one person per checkout, so this doesn’t happen much.

Well, what a refreshing change to get such great service from a home and garden centred retail store. My positive experience started with Nathan being so very helpful in taking time to walk me over to the area selling patio tiles and insisting on helping me find the tiles I needed and lifting them all in to my trolley. He was a huge help.
The management ( Andrew) and his team, Rose,Nathan,Taj, Milly, Pete the cleaner et al at Homebase in Catford/Downham are also so brilliant. It was 2 days ago that I was there and to my horror I lost my car keys whilst in their store 🤦‍♀️… for 2 hours they helped me search for my keys, albeit despite their huge efforts the search was to no avail.I was gutted.Before leaving in an Uber at 6pm having got a telephone quote for the cost of replacing my car key ( £200 🤦‍♀️) Andrew promised that they would call me if they got found before I had to book and pay for a replacement car key the following morning.
Well, that call came, some time later Rose had found them on the floor in the large plant section outside. What a hero!
So huge thanks to all of you, Andrew, congrats on a great team of genuinely nice people, on the shop floor & in the office.

Joan at the Beckenham Hill road store was amazing. She was so friendly and welcoming and would come back for any gardening equipment.

Yes it was fantastic.
All staff who I came in contact with today were especially helpful.
I felt like I was given impartial advice, along with basic tips to start me on my way.

Worst experience I’ve had ordered paint and bath panel paid delivery then told paint will take 10 days and bath panel out off stock so got in touch and asked for refund including delivery as there won’t be a delivery still waiting for money for bath panel and got email 2 days later to say paint been dispatched so phoned again and told don’t except delivery was delivered today and driver told me I had to except he would not take it phoned again and told they will be in touch and let me know if they can pick it up so now have to go to Homebase to take paint back the whole idea off delivery is you can’t get there or it’s heavy

Staff are rude. Have no customer skills. Went to collect my click and collect order and immediately the staff member shouted returns are at the tills not here. I told her I was not doing a return and that Iv come for my click and collect. Her whole attitude was off. Kept talking to other customers while dealing with me. When i finely got my order she went on to again what am I refunding and go to till. Again had to tell her I’m not after a refund and where she got the assumption from. This is catford store. Advice go to a different branch

No queue to collect my item and paid for other items at the same time. Person that served me provided good customer service.

My child is crazy about flowers and plants we’re always in homebase. The other day he was looking for Pansies, and there was so much choice that it was difficult for him to know what he wanted. I had a budget in mind and the plants he wanted were over budget. My son started crying because he really wanted a particular plant in the outside section. There was a man who worked there, I’m sure he is a manager overheard us and was so kind. He donated a bunch of pansies to my child. We were overjoyed and thankful that the man was so kind to him as he had had a hard time at school Weeks before. It really made my day and his day. If your reading this, you’ve really changed my child’s life, thank you so much

Everyone was so helpful the lady working at the click and collect till went above and beyond the security helped us put everything into the van and the manager helped with a price query
