Like my new garden table but one of the legs is missing a screw in feet,so it now wobbles not good.

My order was ready to collect in no time at all, the lady at the collection was point very friendly.

In preparation for our later years, my wife ordered two new bathrooms from Homebase. One was a simple downstairs toilet, hand basin and retiling of the walls. The other was a full wet room. Anticipating future mobility issues, we requested that both rooms be designed with that in mind. We specifically asked for taller toilets for both rooms. Everything was delivered and both toilets said on the boxes "Comfort Toilet" - The fitters recommended by Homebase did a great job with the fitting out of both bathrooms and making everything work as they went along, but we discovered that one toilet was normal height and the other was a taller toilet. There were numerous other mistakes made by Homebase re the bathrooms design and the supply of goods, requiring us to make many trips back to the store to sort matters out. For example we had to go back to the store (11 miles away) to get extra tiles and flooring. In fact the flooring for one of the rooms had not been considered at all by the Homebase designer. At the time of writing this we are still in dispute with Homebase. We will not be using them again. We have some of what we asked for but generally from our perspective this has pretty much been a waste of both our time and our money. We now think we would have been better off leaving things as they were. The stress this has placed on both myself and my wife has been enormous. It is now making us both ill.

I haven’t shopped in Homebase for years due to its rather unwelcoming atmosphere. On my recent visit to the Barnstaple store, I had the pleasure of meeting James. He was so welcoming and helpful. James didn’t hesitate to offer help and even offered to carry my purchases out to the car park.

One other employee was quite hostile on this visit and definitely needs more training when talking to other employees in the presence of customers.
Homebase are privileged to have such a fantastic employee as James.

Will definitely return and fingers crossed James will be on shift at the time.

We did Click and Collect on Sunday but didn't collect until Tuesday. Our order was ready and waiting, a young man named James brought out our large order of slate and didn't hesitate to offer to help put them in the car which we gratefully accepted. We found the rest of the staff cheerful and helpful.
