I am extremely disappointed with my experience with HOB . After waiting three days for the correct bed delivery – having initially received the wrong one – I am still left without a bed after over a week. The delivery driver had assured me he would arrive within two hours, but I’m still waiting well beyond that.
I feel my patience has been stretched thin throughout this entire ordeal. As the holiday season approaches, this delay has severely impacted my time and I’m falling behind on my Christmas shopping. To make matters worse, the customer service regarding this issue has been shocking. Communication has been lacking in at a customer service level and I am left in the dark about when I can expect my bed to arrive.
Given the circumstances, I believe a discussion about compensation for this inconvenience is warranted. Yet HOB declined Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning whether I would recommend HOB to others.

We are sorry to hear that your unhappy with your experience with HOB, however we would have to disagree with the content of this review.
You purchased a bed through our Debenhams platform, with a lead time of 4 weeks, you received your bed within 10 working days much sooner then the expected time frame given
Unfortunately the listing was on Debenhams with the incorrect headboard height, you received your bed per the description on our website, you contacted us straight away and a full refund was offered!
You declined this option, and asked for an exchange !
It would appear what you did fail to mention is the following facts !
We made you aware you could use the bed you had there to ensure you was left without anything and so their was no inconvenience to you, their was absolutely nothing wrong with the bed frame ordered and it wasn’t the incorrect bed, only the headboard was 12 inches higher then what you were expecting.
We let you know we would have a replacement out one week later which was achieved !
You have also failed to mention that we provided you with a FREE headboard extension, which was our suggestion for you as we could see your headboard did not extend across the full room, so this was compensation for the error which occurred due to an error in the Debenhams store listing.
Your bed had been delivered today with the FREE upgraded headboard, you then requested compensation and said you have been waiting 3 days for delivery which was false information and completely untrue as we had the evidence to confirm you were given a day on Monday the 25th of November, and our delivery drivers had communicated with you on Saturday the 30th of November, we have responded to you throughout.
Due to to upgraded free extended headboard which would usually incur a charge of £200
we declined your request of compensation as we had already given compensation,
We also responsed to you out of office hours, and today (Sunday ) we did say one of our team would kindly call you tomorrow Monday the 2nd of December to discuss your concerns when our office opened.
Unfortunately your tone then changed and you proceeded with threatening us with a 1 star review if we didn’t give you the compensation, unfortunately as advised your entitled to express your experience but unfortunately that wouldn’t change our position on giving further compensation. To be clear we also upgraded your headboard as compensation, and at no stage was you left without a bed.
We apologise for the initial error and are happy to confirm your new headboard has been delivered with the free upgrade today the 1st of December, which is still 7 days earlier then the original expected delivery date.

Great quality beds, excellent customer service and all round 5 stars.
Will be returning for down stairs furniture in the new year!!!

From the moment I was in contact with the company it’s been nothing but amazing customer service keeping me updated on our sofa throughout the process.
Once my sofa arrived I feel in love it’s amazing.
I measured the sofa wrong and when getting back in contact with the company they done nothing but tried to help and even offered to cut it down to the right size thankfully I found a way to make it fit together by rearranging the pieces so I am keeping the 12ft sofa.
It’s the perfect sofa.
I could not recommend this company enough.
Good customer service is so rare these days.

The dream bed
I had imagine this bed for my kids as I saw it on Instagram and didn’t think it’ll be possible. HOB furniture has made the most perfect bed for my girls and we love it even better in person.
Communication was fantastic from the start and they kept me updated.
The bed arrived even sooner than anticipated
The delivery and install was also nice and smooth and took less than an hour
Although I paid a little extra for the install is was worth it

I’ll confess we had some issues
I’ll confess we had some issues with production and delays, but I always try and take the view that this is when you get to see the quality of service provided.
I have nothing but good to say about the experience, friendly, helpful, responsive are a few of the adjectives I would use.
The delivery service alone was great and so many suppliers see that as drop and run away whereas he was genuinely helpful and easy to work with

3 attempts to get correct sofa
Sofa
Very stressful and unnessessary rudeness from the lady the runs this company.
It took three attempts to get our Cinema sofa right after numerous mistakes.
Whilst we are happy with the final sofa we have finally received, no one should have to threaten small claims court to get the goods they paid for.
Faulty goods is unacceptable but her response was “well we won’t be making it a third time, and I don’t have to refund you”.
Very poor communication. They stop responding on WhatsApp when they hear their goods are not up to standard and then don’t answer the main telephone.
Would not recommend due to stress of dealing with them as a company.

Thank you for your review, however it would seem that this is very untrue version of events under no circumstances was myself or anyone rude to you, you certainly was not ignored over Whatsap or over the phone, as if you were you would not of had your third delivery, we were very responsive to your Whatsap messages & emails sent, it would also appear that clearly you have fabricated the content of court action!
The version of events are,
You visited our shop placed an order for a 14ft charles cinema sofa with pull out stools in which we have sold & made countless of times over the years.
We did this slightly different to accommodate your specification of an additional seating depth.
You requested extra depth of 110 cm which was on my recommendation.
When your original sofa arrived it had a depth of 90 cm which was short by10 cm, we took full responsibility for this & apologised, this was a manufacturing error. We told you to keep that sofa & we would give you a full replacement which we did within the time frame given.
At this point you thanked us & put in writing how great our customer service had been.
The second sofa arrived
You then advised that the frame of the sofa was incorrect - your words were your sitting on a piece of stretchy fabric only & that there is no support, we obviously disputed this claim & we encouraged you to get an independent company to check the frame work of the sofa as we knew the information given by yourself was completely false, we were more then certain the sofa was correct as extra care was taken before it left our factory
Never have we had anyone say the frame work was incorrect and that they were sinking in to a sofa, that was made up of only stretchy fabric! this claim was totally untrue & whilst was take onboard any customers queries or complaints, we have every right to disagree with what you were saying.
After all we are the manufacturers & make sofas to uk standard requirements.
We explained Clearly the additional depth of sofa was going to be framed slightly different to the original sofa you had which you said was not deep enough for you. The frame work changed to support your request of an additional 20 cm, you were not prepared to take on board what we were saying and
You made it very clear you didn’t want to have an independent assessor out to look at the sofa which we were happy to pay for, it was at this stage you became very rude and abusive, we continued to communicate with you and we agreed to return the original sofa for you, in which we made the additional depth in middle section for you, at no additional cost to yourself. which we didn’t really have to do & most companies wouldn’t
May I add this was not after you threatened any court action as you have suggested above.
Delivery 3 - original sofa
We returned the original sofa & you attempted to tell our delivery driver before it was even off loaded that it was incorrect, yes all of that information was fed back to us even the part where you used unnecessary abusive language about myself & our team!
The drivers said your husband was very nice & told you to allow them to get it in before you said it was wrong again!
The initial mistake we take full responsibility for & apologised in which we had rectified immediately.
The rectified sofa (delivery 2 ) was correct we have full evidence & their were absolutely no quality or manufacturing defaults, we are that confident the sofa was correct we have it on display in our shop, I’m pretty certain if we believed it had manufacturing defaults we wouldn’t display it!
We are really sorry to hear that you thought our communication wasn’t great but considering you had 3 deliveries within 7 weeks, I would suggest this wasn’t the case.
Whatsap messages were replied to within minutes and emails within hours.
On a positive note we are so pleased to hear that on the third delivery of you having your original sofa returned to you that you are now happy.
Great Service
HOB was great with getting my Sofa and Beds delivered. They arranged a time and date that was convenient for me. They called 1 hour before coming. The boys fixed the bed and placed the sofa where I wanted it to go.
will return to HoB when we get a new house. GREAT SERVICE

Best bed I’ve ever bought
We ordered and
emporer bed. It is HUGE!
It is solid wood, heavy and really good quality. The finished look is immaculate. The mattress is of extremely good quality it feels expensive and it was! I would recommend this product to anyone! There are some mixed reviews where there have been some issues but I received amazing customer service from the start when I enquired about the bed through until after delivery. My advice would be have the delivery guys make the bed for you if you choose this size because it’s hard work lugging it up the stairs as it’s a very solid and heavy bed. 10/10 all round.

Absolutely amazing sofa
Absolutely amazing sofa, even though we use for our new cinema, it can be used all round the house. I cannot recommend enough. From beginning of order, to end. The order was made very quick, but our house wasn’t ready so company kindly held it for nearly a month and half for us. As soon as we were ready we called and it was delivered promptly. Quality is fantastic and it is not too soft but not too hard. We absolutely love it, love it, love it.
