The windshield had bug splatters all over it when picking up car!! Very little communication with agent. Attempted to give me liability insurance when it was declined when arranging online! Confusing when returning vehicle when there is no agent on duty.
I'll start with the service which was very good. The agent at Tyler Ponds Airport was courteous and efficient.
The 2 star rating is for the vehichle's condition. First the windshield was covered with dead bug spots. Second there was no winshield wiper fluid so had to get to a gas stataion immediately to sort that out. And third I was alerted while driving to the gas station that the right rear tire was low on air. So I had to pay for windshield wiper fluid and air to fill the tire immediately after pickup.
I get that this was a minor incovenience but I didn't know if the tire would hold the air or had a puncture so was worried about that. I didn't have time to turn around and trade the vehicle for one in better condition.
I've used Hertz for decades and have never had an experience like this. While I don't have a travel job like I had in the past, I still expect to have a fully functional vehicle when I pick it up.
I would appreciate a reply and some sort of goodwill gesture for this poor customer experience.
