My rental agreement was already prepared and the counter person knew what they were doing.

Vehicle I received only had 3/4 full tank of gas when I received it...I reported to Hertz (since I replaced that fuel when I returned the vehicle) and have heard nothing back!

Excellent service. Good vehicle -- exactly what I ordered. Placed in the most convenient spot for pickup. I like the electronic pickup of information when returning the vehicle

I rent from Hertz because their customer service is always quickly responsive and their selection and quality of vehicles is great.

There is no gold desk, so you have to stand in line, potentially a very long line. But the parking lot is an easy walk from the terminal.

We had a quality vehicle, KIA CARAVAN that we specifically asked for. Agent at the counter helpful and friendly. Costs was reasonable.

The vehicle began running poorly. The company sent me 90 minutes away to swap for a different vehicle. The manager at the swapout location (SYR Airport) refused to follow company policy and made us wait another 3 hours for a different vehicle while he handed out vehicles to other customers. I will choose Avis over Hertz in the future thanks to this experience.

Worse experience ever had vehicle upgraded they never told me I’ll would bc have to back pay and pay what ever the difference is from August 28th all the way to October 11’th so it’s went from me only paying $2,000 plus to $7,013 then they chuckled and thought it was funny and said it’s crazy they don’t tell you horrible customer service worse experience ever I will stick with enterprise

Made a reservation weeks/months in advance. Upon arrival, I was told there are no cars available and id have to wait until someone returns their rental. Terrible communication and service on top of all this. Once the manager arrived a couple hours later, he sorted everything and got people moving but I ended up missing the event that i flew across the country for.

Hertz always performs well, even the staff are very professional!

Pickup was a bit confusing - some locations offer a President's Circle fast pass in the garage, wasn't clear in Syracuse what the process was.

Drop off was excellent. Mohamed went out of his way to assist us!

My experience at the desk was very poor... despite arriving over 1 hour after opening, they stated that they did not have a car ready "because they worked late the night before and the cleaners for the cars had not yet shown up to work". In addition my plane was delayed, so the national call center changed my pick-up time. They changed it to the wrong time, but when I pointed this out at the Rental Desk, both the gentleman and his Manager debated with me, stated it was not their fault, and repeated that a car was not available. The man's debating continued for quite a while. I was very disappointed and as a 30+ year loyal customer, it is not the way I am used to being treated.

The car that i was assigned (i was not able to choose) was disgusting. I have never had a dirtier car. Also, the tires leaked constantly and it wreaked of smoke.

Picking up and return the rental car could not have been easier. Everything was ready when I arrived and the Nissan was a good vehicle to have during my trip. The staff in Syracuse was friendly and helpful!

Ease...simple reserve, register, pickup, return. Wish all airport destinations were this easy !

Started off our experience at 930 PM at night with the reservation for the vehicle we reserved not being available and was offered a pick up or mini van in exchange for a luxury Mid-size SUV. We ended up getting a nice Hyundai SUV. The SUV started to show signs that a tire was deflating. I air'd it up a few times and then one morning it was flat. This was not near a big deal as dealing with Hertz over a flat tire. They wanted me to spend like $20/day to cover getting a flat tire. This extra charge is ridiculous to say the least and so I paid AAA to air it up and I paid to have the tire repaired. I tried to call the SYR office about 30 times with no answer to see what they wanted me to do. I was left holding the bag with the repair. Piss poor performance and management. I will NEVER use Hertz again.
