Hertz eased the pain of moving.
We were in the midst of selling both our house and car in Escondido. To get the job done required I rent a mid size SUV. Both Hertz and their Metcalf office came through perfectly with a Kia Sportage that got the job done for us during our final 8 days of the process.

Poor customer service
The wait time on pick up and drop off was ridiculous. Picking up only 1 person was assisting customers when there were two other employees sitting in the back. There were 3 customers in line waiting for no reason. This was not the hertz customer service I expected. Maybe from Avis or budget car rental from somewhere like the Chicago airport but not Hertz. The drop off was even worse. I waited 30 minutes to drop off a vehicle where when it was my turn he just took the keys and asked if I wanted my receipt emailed. I had 2 children with me and my husband and toddler in the car. Nobody should wait that long if that's the drop off process.

Escondido, CA on Metcalf...No customer service!
I definitelly would like to speak to someone at Hertz about our return in Escondido. The desk person refused to drop off my friend who dropped the car. She had to walk about a mile to where her own car was being serviced. The customer service sucked and he was lucky I wasn't there or he would have been called out for his lack of service. Really question now if I will use Hertz again!

Excellent customer service. I've been renting on a consistent basis for the last 3 years and never been disappointed. Sivo is always accommodating and will upgrade me to the best rental available as a President Club member.
