Used their website to purchase a pair of shoes. Loved the intuitive delivery option selection which allows you to compare delivery date and cost easily, although the data capture forms were a little heavy.

Consumer error: I picked the wrong colour shoes. Entirely my fault. BUT! Called 'Chris' at their Devon warehouse, contact details of which were easily found. He immediately helped to correct my order. Friendly and polite with a reassuring Devon accent.

Brilliant service, something which is so important when buying premium goods like this online.

Leider habe ich 3 Wochen nach meiner Bestellung nichts mehr von Herring gehört, bis auf Werbeemails, die mir verschickt wurden. Nach diesen 3 Wochen habe ich telefonisch nachgehakt. Anscheinend gab es einen Fehler im Team, aber die Bestellung wurde mir daraufhin kooperativ per Expressversand zugeschickt und war innerhalb von 23 Stunden bei mir angelangt. Bestellt habe ich eine Weekender-Tasche aus Leder, die ich zum Sport nutzen wollte. Die Tasche sieht jedoch so edel aus, dass sie mir ehrlich gesprochen zu schade ist um sie ins Fitnessstudio zu nehmen. Die Qualität ist wirklich der Hammer, aber beim internationalen Versand würde ich dazu raten einmal persönlich anzurufen um klarzustellen, dass der Versand tatsächlich geschieht.

I've used Herring now on 3 occasions - Their own shoes (mainly made by Loake/Cheaney/Alfred Sargent) are all up there with the best English made shoes - They are always happy to answer any questions and reply to any email queries quickly - I have had to return a pair of shoes to them (only once due to them not fitting) and the process is easy and free - Great company and highly recommended.

The title refers to my customer service experience as well as product satisfaction with Herring shoes. It began seeing a pair of Church edgware shoes in the sale but unfortunately not my size, 8F. They did have them in 7.5G. I decided to contact them via their email ticketing system and I queried if the 7.5G may fit. Within 10 minutes a gentleman named Chris Clarke replied and said knowing the last in question there was every chance the shoes would fit and was worth the risk. I placed the order, which came within two days and was kept informed of its progress via the DHL tracking system accessed on Herring's website. The shoes were a decent fit albeit a little snug but no pinching so with a little use will be fine. Finally after being told to get size 8 shoe trees and finding them too tight, Chris said he would send a pair of 7's free of charge and to keep the 8's. As good as it gets from start to finish. For my next pair of quality shoes I won't be looking anywhere else, and neither should you.

I've twice ordered shoes from Herring and they have been excellent on both occasions. They deliver exceptionally quickly and provide free no-quibble returns. If only all online sellers were this good.

I ordered a pair of Geox shoes on Boxing Day which were delivered just three days later, very fast for the time of year. They were superbly packed and included a Herring Shoes large polishing cloth, shoe horn, and a tin of polish, a very nice touch. This company sells quality shoes and I would highly recommend them following this very satisfactory buying experience.
