Very positive experience with therapist (Farah) and HelloSelf platform
Overall I've had a very positive experience with my therapist Farah and with the HelloSelf platform. Not only did I get on well with her (I think chemistry with a therapist is very important), but she demonstrated strong qualities as a therapist. She is a compassionate, good listener and asked the right questions to get to the next layer of thinking. She also offered many (but was conscious not to offer an overwhelming amount) of strategies to help me overcome the challenges I was facing and will continue to face. I also found that she was accommodating of my schedule and very responsive through the platform.
I did not have to interact with the HelloSelf team very much, but when I did, they were helpful and kind. I found the platform user-friendly and thoughtfully created. The only issue I faced (which was minor in the grand scheme of things) was that I would sometimes receive multiple emails to notify me that my therapist had messaged me through the platform, including after I had read the message, creating confusion if I had missed a message.
Overall I would strongly recommend both Farah and HelloSelf.

Life changing
My sessions with Sarah have been nothing short of life changing. I was suffering from anxiety and depression and I wasn't sure how to cope. Sarah was absolutely brilliant in her approach and wasn't judgemental, which encouraged me to open up, and to understand my reactions to situations. She has equipped me with invaluable tools to better manage various aspects of my life.

Cancellation policy
Completely unfair cancellation policy, my therapist explained to me at the start that she may need to cancel last minute of me due to circumstances which is totally fine and I understood and this actually happened to me, she also said if I ever needed to change one last minute this would be okay we can figure it out due to her situation. So I did this and then 6 months later they are still chasing me for £110 , complete robbery and unnecessary. One rule for one
Will not use again.

Fantastic clinician
The service is really easy to use and the clinician i have is fantastic.
The IT functionality of the site is not always great and there have been connection issues but other than that it's very efficient. You might need to try a few different clinicians to get your fit.

Positive online experience
I managed to get an appointment after not too long a wait but online only (I’d requested in person). But in fact the online went well. No tech issues!
My therapist has a kind and gentle manner which put me at ease and helped me open up.
Only 1 session so far so let’s see how it goes…

There is hope
I have waited a little while after my treatment ended as I wanted to see how I coped when I was asked about my horrible accident. When I started therapy I was in a very dark place but there was a pinprick of light at the end of the very long tunnel. As my therapy progressed that light got bigger and bigger, until finally all I had to do was to take one step out of the tunnel into the light. I have taken that ‘step’ and feel much better and able to cope if I get upset and down again. I was asked just yesterday what happened to me and I was able to relate the event without any emotion. All this is thanks to HelloSelf and their counsellor Nidih. The hardest part is accepting you need help and the second hardest is reaching out for help. I would recommend anyone who finds themselves in a dark situation where there seems no hope to reach out and contact an agency like HelloSelf or their GP. Thank you Nidih and HelloSelf.
