Well today as before I opened a tin of your lamb and veg big soups. The first time I forgave but this is beyond belief. I found a piece of lamb in it!

Shocking eh! 1 solitary piece of lamb. The last tin I opened was beef stew. Same thing. 1 solitary piece of beef.

Surely you can't call it beef or lamb if there is a piece of meat as big as my finger nail in it?

Last time I use. Total rip off

My tastebuds? No! Everyones.

I wondered if it was me, but then I took to finding reviews. It's not me - it's everyone! When are you going to address the tasteless watery problem with your soups? I grew up with Heinz soups always preferring them to other brands, but no more! Please give us a sign when they are back to being proper soups. Thank you.

UPDATE – Still No Accountability, Just Excuses

Bought a tin of Heinz Chicken Soup from Sainsbury’s Harpenden and when I opened it the contents were solid and clumped, like thick custard. Completely abnormal and honestly disgusting.

I contacted Heinz and they asked me for everything:
purchase location, batch/expiry details, full description, photos, phone number, whether I’ve bought it before, etc.

I provided all of it, including clear photos showing the batch code and expiry date.

After wasting my time doing exactly what they asked, they then responded saying they “can’t refund me” because I didn’t buy it directly from them and that I need to contact another department and basically start again.

So what was the point of collecting all the information in the first place?

I’m also a pensioner, and I don’t find it easy to keep going back and forth or keep travelling to stores to sort things out. The customer service has been dismissive and unhelpful.

This is a food safety issue and Heinz have handled it like they couldn’t care less. Just passing customers around instead of taking responsibility.

Absolutely disappointing.
Title: UPDATE – Still No Accountability, Just Excuses

After being sent in circles by Heinz customer service, I finally received what they call a “resolution”.

Their conclusion?

The soup was “out of date” and I should not eat it.

That’s it.

No acknowledgement that I bought a multipack of 5 tins last week from Sainsbury’s Harpenden as normal shelf stock.
No concern that out-of-date Heinz products are being sold in a major supermarket.
No apology beyond a generic line.
No proper resolution.

Just: don’t eat it.

I provided everything they requested — batch codes, expiry date, photos, purchase location, full description. I waited patiently. Only to be effectively told it’s my problem.

As a pensioner, I don’t find it easy constantly going back and forth chasing companies. I raised a genuine product quality and safety concern in good faith. Instead of taking ownership, Heinz have deflected responsibility at every step.

For a brand of this size, the lack of accountability is astonishing.

Very disappointing. Very poor customer care.

A despicable bunch of money grabbers

A despicable bunch of money grabbers, absolutely disgusting, and I am applying that to them both financially and in reference to their product.
I had a tin of Heinz Mushroom Soup for lunch today and all I can say is it was PATHETIC! I think it was about 3-4 years ago that I last had the same tin of soup and it was delicious, creamy with chunky mushrooms as I have always known it to be. But what came out of that tin was unrecognisable to what I have previously known! Imagine 1 small mushroom cut up into very small pieces put into a bowl topped up with tap water with a little bit of milk poured over it! And after doing some searching online I discovered that numerous customers had reported similar experiences across the entire range of Heinz products which have been "Economised"! But it was an article in 'The Metro written by Craig Munro' January 13, 2023 which really annoyed me, he indicated the following
Price of Heinz tomato soup at Tesco soars from 95p to £1.70 in just six months!
So they have significantly reduced the quality of their product and then hit customers with an 80% price increase in a mere 6 months! What a wonderful company!!??

Change is not always good

I know some people say that change is good, but the tin of big soup I had today, Sausage and vegetable tasted terrible. I really wish you wouldn't mess with the recipes, It was perfect the way it was before. I love Heinz, But unfortunatly, if you keep changing the recipes I will be going elsewhere for my soup. I am so disappointed.

Not the same. We just want the original tomatoe soup

The traditional Heinz tomatoe soup is no longer the same. Why are you using rapeseed oil. ?Please , please consider using something else. I have stopped buying your soup and unfortunately l am not the only person. Kindly let me know if some can be made without rapeseed oil . This also is the same for the other soups you produce. Its a shame.

What happened to Heinz

What happened to Heinz? A brand you could always trust for quality now just cashes in on that reputation.
Now we get overpriced, poor quality, watered down products and every time I have tried a shops own brand recently it has been massively better and half the price. Will never buy Heinz again.

Your soups are no where near what they…

Your soups are no where near what they used to be!!!
Tomato not too bad but the chicken soup in particilar is watery and chicken pieces small and flaky..
Some other type of soups are also not up to the quality they used to be.
Your chicken soup advert shows a rich chunky soup but in reality it is far from that.
Heinz had a reputation for good quality wholesome products that I was brought up on, dont move away from that.

Heinz soups are now lacking beef or chicken

I bought 5 tins of heinz soups in a supermarket offer. Two mulligatawny and a pea and ham, which were lovely as usual. The other two tins were a beef broth and a chicken broth. Both of these tasted nice but the beef broth had absolutely zero meat in it. So it was a bean, carrot and barley soup in brown sauce. Likewise the chicken broth had the same ingredients as the beef version but had virtually no amount of chicken in it. There were just a few very minute bits of what looked like scraps of chicken taken from the leftover carcass of a chicken with no real pieces of real chicken. I have often had the big soup varieties in the past and noticed the meat in these types of meat and vegetable soups was getting smaller and smaller until these became quite negligible. However, these two tins of broth confirmed this trend and showed me that Heinz appear to have cut back drastically on the meat ingredient. Presumably, in a cost cutting strategy. Still the best soups just need to put beef in beef soups and chicken in chicken soups as it says on the label!

Greedy and inferior

After resisting buying products since their unjustified and scandalous price hikes, I bought some soup in a supermarket offer. Cream of chicken, oxtail and cream of tomato. Barely any meat in the first two, the latter just tasted like vinegar. All Aldi versions are far superior and a third of the price. Also, Heinz has gone down the woke route in their advertising so obviously not interested in my custom. There was a time where I'd only buy this brand, now its the last one I would. Never again.

Awful Beans and Richmond Fake Sausages

Used to love the old beans and sausages, but the new version with Richmonds fake sausages is awful. Won't be buying again. My dog won't even eat the new sausages, very concerning as he's eaten cardboard and road kill before!

Heinz? More like lienz!!

I bought a 10 of the Heinz clam chowder. I sort of found it behind Asda rather than buying it, but it was disgusting. Nothing like what I remember as a child. It immediately went down the toilet, and it blocked the toilet. In retrospect, I should have taken it out of the tin first, but nonetheless, it's appalling. what has happened to Britain? It's time to rise up. What's that? Yes Marjorie how's the family?

Soups are atrocious.

Heinz is quite an expensive brand so you would expect their soups to be good. Not so they are gloopy and tasteless.
They need to get their act together.
