Worst council. Children services are not fit to protect children. Should an overhaul of the social care in harrow

I wish I could leave NOTHING , bad customer service everyone there should get FIRED immediately the worst people in the world only God knows how they sleep at night knowing they do not do their job.

An appalling council ripping off motorists with unsigned traffic measures and poorly maintained roads.
They must think that people are stupid, all these measures are there to raise income, not protect the public.
When you challenge a PCN you get a stock answer that does not address the issues that you raise.

Less than ZERO!
Harrow Council are such lowly cowards that they removed the negative reviews from google. These monsters are a bunch of useless crooks, stealing money from the Taxpayers. Zero accountability!

The garden waste service provided by Harrow Council is abysmal and utterly disappointing. The garden waste collectors seem to have some personal vendetta against collecting garden waste, as they arbitrarily leave bins behind for no apparent reason. It's an absolute frustration, and what's worse is that on the council's webpage, there's no option to report such issues.

I have clear CCTV footage of the bin collection personnel opening and then moving forward without any valid reason. Instead of addressing this problem, the council offers a generic response, suggesting that there was soil in the bin. If there was soil, I would expect the council to provide evidence before pushing the blame onto residents.

This is nothing but unnecessary stress caused by a council that employs incompetent individuals who appear to be getting paid for doing nothing. It's a disgraceful display of poor service and a blatant waste of taxpayers' money."

Dysfunctional in all forms and shapes.
Can not even manage bin collection.
They keep missing/ignore it. It is becoming a normal thing to see my food waste bin among all the bins in my road left behind making it attractive to rodents and foxes.
The bin get reported and followed up online each time they miss collecting it. They state their engagement to come and collect the missed bin within 3 days but they don’t.
You have proven that you are incapable of managing waste let alone managing the entire borough.

Worked in Parking department 1 year ago, management absent not seen for days in particular one with Hurlie for a surname. Head of Department - sleepy and has a laissaz faire attitude towards his team - team easily run away with a team meeting that should take 1 hour under him. Poor pay horrible walk to the hub where they work at least 30 minutes in an industrial estate. never again.

Still no contact about my issue ..even though the time frame for them to reply has gone

Harrow council are appalling !!

I got a PNC for travelling through a route which is for ‘special vehicles and buses’.

I informed the lady at Harrow council over the phone that my sat nav took me up this road on Google maps as well as not seeing any signage.I am new to working in London I was travelling to work for the Metropolitan Police as a police officer on duty ! I was only in London to work. The lady agreed that this was steep and that I should continue to appeal and pursue it as it was a genuine mistake and the satnav took me this way as-well as not seeing signs. I received a letter saying I wasn’t exempt because I am an officer etc ….. I didn’t say I was exempt I explained why I went up that road and the man ignored this and continued with the rude letters threatening to then take court action on myself . The council fined me £195 for no fault of my own, you should
Be ashamed I’ve had to pay this when all of my lack of money should be spent on my partner that has end of
Life cancer for treatments etc but I had to pay this fine and be in the red with - in my bank when I am a carer also !!

Disgrace with no sympathy or listening skills , just money grabbing like all councils !

It is impossible to contact the Council and ask a question, you have to wonder what has happened to all the staff, everything is online however not all options covered. We pay an extremely high council tax with all services deteriorating and nobody prepared to speak with any of the people actually paying. Totally unacceptable

Disaster council.
After subscribe for brown bin collection I didn't receive any ''welcome email'' with the SR reference.
At the moment I trying to find a way to contact them (as they don't have any phone number or email address)
I need a refund or the sticker so thy can empty the bin.

What a racket Camrose Avenue Bus Gate is.
You could almost believe that an enterprising individual designed the layout. To fine you on a Sunday with no bus in sight ( and when most bus lanes can be used on a Sunday ) adds insult to injury.
Once you are upon it there is no way of avoiding taking your nice alloy wheels through the daft tight section of the road unless you go through the bus gate. Harrow Council.. if this is the sort of thing you do to the hard pressed public no wonder so many people have such a dim view of you generally.

Their website site still has them at station road but it's under construction! The website needs to be updated and fast.

Staff members Meena awful person so rude…starting calling me ‘Sir’ even though my name was written and title Miss.. started discriminating and when I corrected her instead of apologising, blamed me for not telling her what gender I am. Then lied I said I was Sorry disrespectful!

My brown bins were not emptied 7 days ago
Have now twice requested they be emptied on the harrow site but impossible to speak to anyone
Told lies that binmen had returned two days after day of collection on 18 th February
Not possible as bins had not been moved
System at council impossible as no one to speak to
Will leader of council sort
Stop marketing yourselves but action is required

Internet web not simple,staff attitude very rude , unprofessional,not knowledgeable, treat like football

Everything went wrong.I do not care about Guidelines for writing reviews.What I am writing about ,is my personal experience, which has been terrible.I would be very grateful if someone very Senior within the Housing Department contacts me urgently.

The staff at Harrow Council are generally very helpful and friendly. I believe the main issue with their services are lack of funding and some obtuse management decisions. I particularly want to praise the Housing Rent team who have gone above and beyond during the pandemic and also the estate services team who also have hugely improved service provision recently. I would also mention that the housing leasehold team seem little interested in sorting issues for tenants rather than selling leases.

We are a community group in central Harrow.
We would like to praise our street cleaning team.
Ron and his team, do a great job cleaning our road.
Every month like clockwork the team come and do a great job.
We also take our responsibilities seriously, we have regular litter picks, and monitor fly tipping in this area.
So a big thank you, to Ron and his team for a great job.

I wanted to give a (rare) 5 star review SPECIFICALLY for Dax, who helped me today with a problem re: a student discount that I have been trying to sort out since October last year.

Dax looked back through all my records, confirmed that everything was in order, and then recalculated the bill so that I could actually move forward and start making correct payments.
