I’ve shopped with Hargreaves since I was a high school lad & their dad had the shop at the old premises…….i’ve had road bikes, racing bikes I’m now venturing into my 60s & have purchased my 1st e-bike & still getting the same great bikes, servicing & chat/knowledge many years down the line from Michael & Paul 👌

Purchased a Cannondale road bike from Hargreaves in 2017. Great service and helpful staff. Just emailed them for a copy of the receipt for warranty with Cannondale and I was emailed back about an hour later. Can't thank them enough. Cheers guys.

I ordered a GT mountain bike but found it too big. It was swapped immediately and I received very friendly comms regarding this. I’d buy from here again and would highly recommend, especially as I had such a good deal too. Finance also available on purchases which was instant and very straight forward!

Great service from the guys at Hargreaves over the last few months. Had a few issues with my bike and they have done everything possible to help me out. Going above and beyond seems to be the norm for them, I would highly recommended them to anyone. Just what a local bike store should be like 👍

I went to Hargreaves’s today to look for a new mountain bike.I had seen a couple I liked online and the prices looked quite competitive.The service was really good Very knowledgable really new their stuff.I was surprised at the choice of bike they had on site. I got a really good deal with a great discount off the bike I bought. The icing on the cake is I was able to take the bike away within 20 minutes. Fantastic service would highly recommend. 5 star. Thank you.

3 miles into a cycling trip to Amsterdam I hit the wall - literally. Hargreaves Cycles’ kindness and generosity (immediately prior to their closing time) ensured we were able to continue our journey safely with new brake pads free of charge. Thank you so much for rescuing our holiday!!

Great customer service, very knowledgeable and helpful, just bought my 3rd high end Cannondale from Hargreaves.

Highly recommended, well worth the travel from Scunthorpe even though there are Cannondale dealers nearer.

have been a regular customer for over 10 years at Hargreaves cycles having bought parts and services my bikes … I must admit I have just been greeted with greed and poor customer service from the shop owner who behaved in such unprofessional way on my request to service my bike that left me speechless ….

If I may summarise my thoughts : avoid , poor customer service , filthy attitude in a filthy Victorian shop , overpriced and greedy.

Dropped a rear wheel off first thing Monday to have a spoke and nipple fitted and wheel truing , phoned Thursday to enquire and was told that they have not got around to it and it will be done Friday so popped in Saturday to collect however nothing had been done. I took the wheel back and went to another bike shop who told me they would have it done within the hour.
Don’t waste your time with this bike shop as they will waste your time, Kama is a strange and wonderful thing and I’m sure it will play its part in the demise of this bike shop.

Super service, full service on Cannondale Road bike, came back as good as if not better than when new. Highly recommended.

Needed the bearings replacing, once again the guys at Hargreaves sorted me out, very friendly family run business ,highly recommended.

Have bought both my road bike and my eldest sons bike from here in last few years. Went in today to get my younger son a bike for his birthday. 2 men working, both completely ignored us and never even acknowledged our presence. It was obvious we needed help but when tried to make eye contact the both stared in opposite direction. No wonder shop was empty, appalling customer service. Will not use them again.

I recently spotted a shop soiled ebike on Hargreaves' website. Having read some of the reviews I was slightly anxious about buying from the company.
I contacted the company to see if they delivered to Northern Ireland and received a very quick and positive response from Michael. I then asked about the condition of the bike and was quickly sent a description and photos.
I decided to purchase the bike and ordered it on a Friday. I received an email to say it would be dispatched at the start of the next week and the bike arrived with me in Belfast on the Thursday. The bike was exactly as described and very well packed. I have absolutely no issues or complaints.

Can’t recommend this small but friendly family run cycling shop enough 100% satisfied customer .they once again helped me out with my MTB tyre.sod Halfords, get your bike from Hargreaves.

Non existent customer service, i guess once they've had your money, then thats it!

Bought a bike from the store for around £1000. After a month the bike developed a fault with the front shifter, turns out this is a known fault with this product. I have tried several times to get in contact with the shop so they can rectify the issue - no reply. I've tried again and again and again but they still ignore me. The bike is under warranty but they refuse to help. Avoid this shop.

Trying to buy a bike online from Hargreaves a few weeks ago, during the Covid lockdown, wasn't straightforward.

Over a 4 weeks period I made 3 phone calls that went unanswered - seemed like they picked-up the calls and rang straight off - plus 2 unanswered messages about a particular bike. Then my luck changed and I had a brief exchange of messages about another bike which were quite informative.

I ordered a bike that was dispatched promptly and appeared on the FedEx tracking system then disappeared the next day. After an anxious weekend I had another notification from FedEx giving me different dispatch and delivery dates. Presumably Hargreaves had cancelled the first delivery without informing me. Anyway, the upshot was I received a new bike in 4 working days from order and saved £1,000 on a £3,500 list price.

Given my experience and looking at the many reviews, my conclusion: it wouldn't take much to make Hargreaves a pleasure to deal with but in the meantime caveat emptor.

There is nowhere better in Yorkshire to go for advice or choice of bikes - road, MTB or electric bikes. Shops like these are pure gold. Fantastic service and great prices.
