Only just placed my first order with Hannants (just moved back to UK) and their range is vast, but guys come on...
It feels like the 00's when visiting the website.
Ive actually visited the site numerous times and gone elsewhere as a result.
Cant fault their stock variety and quality though

Been ordering from Hannants for a decade. Service is excellent and timely. They never disappoint, with a fantastic selection, fair prices, and reliable shipping and excellent packing.

I buy a kit every Month or so. My experience has been great. The delivery has always been timeous. The product has always been as described. No complaints what so ever,

The decals ordered failed big time. No separation despite trying multiple methods...they were not ever likely to be capable of being lifted off like other water slide decals I experienced and I've experienced many including creating my own. Waste of money and a waste of my time!!

I have been a customer of Hannants for over 30 years. I have spent Thousands on postage , model kits and fuel driving to their warehouse in lowestoft from Essex. Hannants used to be the best around , unfortunately i believe thay have became a bit complacent. I have given them the benefit of the doubt at least 3 times now. This last time will be the last. Having placed an order on Sunday and payed for 24hr delivery i was told today that it had not been ready for when parcelforce arrived , so was still in the warehouse. I did ask why offer 24hr service if it cannot be backed up , to be told that they have so many parcels to deal with. I then explained that my order was for a commission buid that every day counts. I asked for my order to be cancelled and all of my details removed , only for the person on the other end of the phone to tell me "Go somewhere else then , we probably supply them anyway."
Nice responce. I will never use hannants again or and shop supplied by them. Very poor service.....again.

Sends out damaged part. Couldn't care less attitude.

Back in January I ordered a Mikro Mir kit from Hannants. It sat in my stash until now, when I came to build it I found that an entire sprue was missing. They responded quickly to emails and Hannants sent me a replacement kit straight away. You only find out the really good companys when they have to sort out an issue. Great service as ever from Hannants.

Living in North America, I find Hannants a truly remarkable place for on-line orders. They offer an extremely wide selection of products and accessories, they are quite fast in responding to emails and questions.

Their site is fantastic especially if you make an inquiry on a model kit. Once you find the preferred kit and scale, they offer aftermarket suggestions for that specific kit so you may add to your kit and modelling experience.

Their "Wishlist" and "Backorder" services have not failed me yet!

Once I receive the confirmation email that my order has left, the provided tracking number works without fail.

Hannants must be the largest stockist of models, accessories, tools and books relating to modelling in the country. I have been a customer for many years. I have visited the warehouse and I live near the shop in Colindale. I am quite surprised that there are negative comments and experiences on Trustpilot, I have always found them friendly and reliable and have never has a problem with delivery.

Not great again still looking for a better service not looking good again

I have dealt with this company for many years. I ordered some 3d decals for my F16 on the 13th November but they never arrived. After emailing them ten days later they asked me to give it a few days. Another week has passed and still nothing. I have emailed them a couple of times but had no reply. This is the first time this has happened. Guessing it might have been missed has it was just after the Telford weekend and may have got missed. I will give them a bit longer to reply and get PayPal to sort this out if no response. I deal with another company and always receive my parcels post free within 48 hours. Yet it takes five days for Hannants to deliver a paint mask set in an envelope.

The website is a bit cumbersome, however the range of products these guys stock, in my experience is unparalleled. Purchases take a little longer than normal to arrive, most items arriving withing 7 days of purchase.

I bought a Armory 1/144 xb-70 Valkyrie , when i checked the part's i noticed that some were missing i got in touch with them they said they would get in touch with Armory to send me the part's, a month later still no part's got back in touch with them and they said they would chaise it up, another month by still no part's. I think they should have got me to send the kit back and then send me a replacement kit?.

On my side, after-sales service and non-existent customer service.

On July 20, I ordered from them the model of the Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe helicopter with M-121 bomb (ICM-53055) and the box of American helicopter pilots from the 1960s-1970s (ICM-53101) as well as a photo-etched sheet, at the time only available for pre-order from this sole seller in Western Europe.

But the problem is that when I received the package containing my order there was only the photo-etched sheet and bits of cardboard but no trace of the model of the CH-54A Tarhe and the miniature box.

I even sent them an e-mail and opened a complaint against this seller on Paypal for an undelivered purchased item, but no response from him. To know that I have not received an e-mail or seen a message on its website saying that the latter was closed for holidays.

Behavior can be nice, not at all seller when in him places an order of 189.64 €, plus 51 € of transport and customs duties, i.e. a total of 240.64 €...

What a poor customer service this company provide!
I have spent many hundreds of pounds building up a collection of kits from them and when something goes wrong which was quite simple, something incorrect with a kit and photos provided I was promised it would be sorted shortly. This was back end of last year. Nothing happened, I followed up a few weeks ago…a quick reply saying he would get back to me in 2 days as on holiday. No answer after that. Detailed all this in an email but what a surprise, no response again. This is my first ever review but I feel I have to. I have started buying kits elsewhere.

No delivery, no reply to email, no refund

My first experience with this company is terrible. My parcel from Hannants had to be delivered to London two month ago. Not outside the UK... But... No parcel... No money .. Emails still went unanswered.
Do not use this company.

Update: After my request to Royal Mail in December'2022 I received an answer and this answer I forwarded to Hannants. On the next day my parcel was dispatched to Royal Mail.

Just found this little Gem in Lowestoft. Really friendly staff, Massive stock. The staff we spoke to and helped you couldn't ask for better. Will be buying a lot from this place from now on.

Good Shop Experience (albeit sometimes takes a bit of time to respond)

They call themselves "THE online store for plastic model kits" for good reason. If you can't find it anywhere else, it's usually on Hannants. Unrivalled stock in my experience, good prices and delivery is pretty speedy, though not the fastest.

As others have noted the website is a bit dated, but the search function is surprisingly good compared to competitors (nice to see everything properly categorised!). It's probably the only model shop I've seen that really puts a ton of effort into its catalogue and that makes it so much easier to find things.

I recently made a return and the whole process was fast and easy so top marks for customer service too.
