I have recently used this Company for a Grant heat pump installation. The system is exactly what I want and was installed exactly as I asked. Very timely, tidy and clean install by staff that know exactly what they are doing, who all have the same equipment at their home, and gave me confidence the install would work exactly as it should. So far, as its summer, I have only used the heat pump for domestic hot water, the big test will come this winter. So far, so good.

We are very pleased with our heat pump and solar panels, and although there was a hiccup or two Greenwaves were always there to respond and help.
We are getting used to the system and the app is very informative. We feel that Greenwaves are always there to help and advise if needed.

The were two projects.

Marketing - the explanation of the systems and installation processes were carefully described to me (no hard sell) and surveyed to determine the minutiae.

The installation dates were kept to, although the ASHP took more days than expected.
I did have to sort a problem with a subcon out with the management, but they listened and acted promptly to resolve it.
The apps to monitor and/or vary the systems are relatively customer friendly, Ariston and Foxess could do better..
The installation inspection, post commissioning, was thorough, and we wait for winter to assess the SCOP.

All paperwork required for submission to the BUS Scheme have been dispatched , so I can register my systems and sell energy to the grid.

i would be happy to hire them again, or refer them to another end user. Thank you, Greenwave

The saga continues

Calamity!

I do wish I could give less than one star, but it seems I cannot.

On Thursday Greenwave said that all was up and running.

Friday morning we woke up to stone cold water !!

There was also a very loud buzzing noise coming from the Cylinder. I have no idea whether this is dangerous or not. I have been in touch with Greenwave but they have declined to send anyone. The three bedrooms on the landing adjoining where the cylinder is housed are not able to be used a) possibility of danger b) noise, as it would be impossible to sleep.

After they had got the pumps up and running on Thursday they asked me to sign a completely blanked out screen, which I now find is the form they have to send in to the Ministry to get the grant. I have previously told them that I would not sanction this until all items on my ‘Snagging List’ were complete.

Our Aga, the only cooker in the kitchen was cut off by Greenwave nearly two months ago, and despite almost daily requests they for some reason refused to put it back on again. It was working perfectly before they started work.

Shielding of Heat pumps with wooden slatting. The installed ones are huge upright industrial sized and not in keeping with a Listed building.

Holes to be repaired in the wall to the right of main entrance. Huge holes were drilled at first floor level as they were initially trying to take the thick pipes up the outside of the house.

Screeding of pipes in the broom cupboard next to the kitchen. The concrete floor of the cupboard was ripped up to accommodate pipes.

Repair of radiator in Drawing Room.

Shelving in the airing cupboard. The shelving was ripped out on day one and has not been replaced for drying clothes, towels etc.

Repair fallen down ceiling on top landing where tank fell through. Again very early on they ripped a hole in the ceiling on the top landing and this has been just boarded over and not replaced and redecorated.

Move water main stop valve. We have a borehole for our water supply but there is a stop valve in the stable yard so that we can turn our supply over to the mains if necessary. This has been covered over with the piping from the heat pumps and needs moving along about 8 feet.

Underfloor heating in the bathroom next to airing cupboard. This has been turned off from day one and despite constant requests has still not been reinstated.

Lights on back landing and downstairs back hall. These have been cut off presumably during the electrical works, and again, despite request have not been put back on.

Two Directors and Chief operative are coming to inspect tomorrow. I hope that we will finally get somewhere.

From the start of this project Greenwave listened to my wishes. my home is a listed building and they acted with care and respect .they kept the house clean and were professional in all the tasks they undertook. The job was completed within budget and was extreemly pleased .I would not hesitate recomending them.

We had an heat pump fitted a year ago by greenwave, it has worked perfectly. They take pride with the pipework, its like a work of art. The house is always constant nice warm temperature and it is efficient. We recently had it serviced, engineers are friendly and we’ve always been happy with the quality of their work.

Having contacted several other heat pump suppliers to replace our 10 year old pump that had failed, many of whom were not interested in only supplying a replacement, we went with the proposal from Greenwave preferring a local company that were able to offer a long warranty for both parts and labour. As the new pump had to connect to the existing immersion, radiators and underfloor heating in both the main house and the annexe, there were some initial problems, and the overall installation took much longer than planned, but all eventually got sorted and was fully operational within a few weeks. Communication with the company has been good and pleased with the end result - although next winter will be the true test !

The proposal didn't change, no nasty surprises! Workforce turned up on time, really helpful, polite and considerate, and very tidy, given how intrusive the work could have been, in replacing radiators all over the house. Highly recommended.i will add that we arecso pleased with the work done , we are also having Greenwave supply and fix solar panels

We recently had solar panels, battery & inverter fitted by Greenwave. Great experience from start to finish, everything went smoothly and we were very impressed with the neat and tidy installation by Jude the electrician and his Dad the roofer (didn’t catch his name). We have received all our paperwork and certificates within 2 weeks of completion as Kaitlyn was efficient in getting them over to us. We have already recommended Greenwave to our friends who are thinking of having solar panels installed.

We are delighted with our solar panels installed by Greenwave. The sales , survey and installation teams were excellent. We had a few admin issues regarding MCS certificate, but the company were honest about the admin issues they were having and they did compensate us fairly for the delay. Overall a good company who I would recommend for a personal service and great know how.

The installation of our Battery went smoothly. Matt was great — suggesting a better, more discreet location for the battery and inverter and sharing plenty of tips. Tidy work and neat installation. Was also pleased to learn that we could charge via the existing solar installation without affecting the current FIT. Hoping to move on to the additional solar panel install soon (planning permitting).

On the whole a solid job.

Spoke with Mark about the initial quote, came up slightly high but after negotiating came up with a reasonable price.

Organised the technical survey and visit with Struan, all went well and came up with a plan.

The office organised a date for me. Didn't receive confirmation or ETAs couple days prior to work so had to chase up for these.

Arrived on site and had delays with deliveries, all resolved on the day. I'm glad I was on site to talk them through my preferences as could have ended not being what I wanted due to plans changing quickly once here. All work was done to a good standard, couple pieces I've sorted as am particular. Cable ties cut flush, so not sharp, and lagging cut using a jig, so just looks more finished. Also the heat pump was mounted slightly off parallel from the wall so just adjusted it slightly. Nothing major but all things that take no more effort to do as they're going.

Hand over was brief at best. I think having a designated person to talk through everything thoroughly is needed. Luckily I'm tech savvy so sorted everything myself and even resolved issues myself as couldn't come out for a few days.

I would use them again just little details and the hand over need adjusting to get the 5 star.

We had been considering solar panels, but well-judged advice from sales rep redirected us to a heat pump, which was a much better solution for our needs.
Exact system requirements were determined from a thorough heat loss survey conducted by the technical engineer, who answered all our questions clearly and directly.
Installation was set back while a plumbing issue was resolved, but customer service rescheduled with the same team after only a short delay. The installation team themselves made some crucial practical modifications to the plan, and their lead followed up to ensure everything was working safely.

A most satisfactory experience all round.

Brilliant from start to finish, very professional clean and tidy and stress free installation . The guys knew exactly what they were doing and just got on with the job. I'm very happy with my new heat source pump. A big thank you and 5 stars from me.

I can’t fault Greenwaves, from start to finish everyone has been very helpful. Installation of the heat pump went without a hitch and is working fine.

We had an Air source heat pump and EV charger installed buy the Greenwave team, we was happy from start to finish.

Working with Greenwave Renewables was a pleasure. We had them install an air heat source pump for us to replace an oil boiler. The consultation and quoting was excellent and they didn't push us at all - no pressure sales. Surveys were smooth and they did all the work regarding certificates and grants. The quality of installation was excellent and the team took just over 3 days to complete the work to a really high standard. Only glitch at the end was a faulty controller so that required some investigation and a couple of extra visits to get sorted. Works perfectly now and we are so grateful to have this work complete and we don't have to deal with oil anymore!

I’m extremely surprised by some of the reviews here. We have had nothing but trouble with Greenwave. Missed deadlines, lack of communication, disorganisation, staffing issues, poor customer service and the heat pump system still doesn’t work properly after ~4 months, so the house is cold, the water is periodically cold and the cost is extortionate. They’ve been blaming set up, then configuration and now apparently it’s a manufacturer issue. We are on the verge of taking legal action - I now understand why heat pumps have such a poor reputation - it’s not the technology, it’s the installers.
