We were seen very quickly by Adelaine Nietzold from Grant Saw as we wanted to set up LPAs. Our applications were submitted quickly and efficiently. There were no problems and we were granted our LPAs as expected. I can recommend Adelaine as a solicitor for ‘Wills and Probate’ work.

We contacted the solicitors to draft a new will after they were recommended by the Alzheimer’s Society as part of their Free Wills campaign, and we’re so glad we did. Their office was conveniently local to us, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish.

Booking our appointment was simple, and every question we had was answered clearly and promptly. Adelaine was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, which really put us at ease.

We have recently been dealing with Randeep Thethy from this company and we have had a terrible experience. Randeep was representing the buyer. One of the most unprofessional solicitors we have ever had the mishap of dealing with utter shambles. The woman doesn't listen, is combative and coming back on the same questions over and over; she did not even replied to our solicitor's latest email answering the questions and she did not even inform our lawyer about the withdrawal, we all had to be informed by the estate agent!
We have been stuck for over 6 months with our transaction and in the end she made their client withdraw as all parties were really exhausted. If you are looking for a smooth transaction avoid them. We are so pleased that we do not have to deal with them anymore.

I can't say I was ever given any confidence that I would get my property back. It seemed all rather a wave of negativity and I further got the impression-rightly or wrongly-geared to drag matters out. There didn't seem any great impetus either, save when bills were issued! It all seemed like a waste of £2000 I'm afraid. I hesitate to think what the final sum might have been....

This is an update on my review of Grant Saw Solicitors. This has been delayed,partly due to Trustpilot checks etc.

I was thoroughly duped by these two persons.even the two specialist solicitors at SA law, found it stupefying that they could have done this.
He talks about bankruptcy, so what ?. This had occurred some years prior. I have rights too, this doesn’t allow them to treat me as fair game. He’s trying to maintain the cover-up and to deflect attention from their duties.
The biggest irony here is that the actions -or inactions , of these two persons contributed greatly to my financial misery and insecurity thereafter.
Does he understand what a Conveyancing solicitor should do, and not do??…Seems not. He needs to answer that in his response to this post.
He thinks 20 years would just exonerate him and this so-called conveyancing solicitor from blame.
Read further about the behaviour of this person, and you will understand why this has had a lingering effect on me.

What people need to understand here is that these people were Grossly Negligent in this matter ( and that’s not me saying this but the experienced solicitors at SA LAW). If they were knowledgeable and qualified all this would have been avoided, but they were NOT. he ignores that they failed to follow basic legal procedures such as, a requirement for a COURT ORDER in order for me to leave the house.
What about the money that they took into their own coffers(from the house sale), when it was dispensed . Will he explain what he did with it?
It was the vendor’s solicitor who found the restriction,NOT Grant Saw. When this was found and explained to me I told them immediately to STOP, repeat STOP the sale. She failed to do that and instead did something that no other solicitor in the land would do-which is what led to this horrible situation. I will explain here further info which will give more background to this.
This matter created a situation of further debt, and financial misery, loss of a roof over my head, not to mention the loss of confidence and stigma that followed me after.
Yes, it has taken this amount of time for me to handle the injustice of this matter. But this is more than just about losing a house……it is about malice towards me, ineptitude ,spitefulness, hostility , and yet, I never did a thing to them to deserve this!
• In response to his statement that I didn’t sue them. I had no money, it would have cost a few thousand to take this matter through a Court. This is the unreality that this man displays. I wonder what planet he is living on ?
• He sat inches away from me, telling me that there was nothing they could do to stop the sale
• I witnessed him in that meeting berating, scolding and reprimanding her for what she did to make contact with the OR, without any permission.
• Bigotry and prejudice: The Lawyers at SA law only understood half of the story. I had bigotry and prejudice directed at me by this person. “…Where did you get the money to buy the house…?” She barked out in an interrogatory manner. I was so stunned at this comment. ( I worked hard and honestly for this house !)
• When I requested the file for SA law, she had written (in red ink) comments which were disparaging towards me. What Conveyancing solicitor in this land behaves like this …???
• I got hauled into the local Police station, under threat of arrest. She had winded up the vendor with stories of me being made bankrupt( a lie, as that had occurred some years prior). He opened a number of my letters which had come to that house and I had to respond harshly to him.
People will find this stuff hard to believe but I state facts here, not fabrications.
The amount of stress and fear these people created was considerable. She displayed disturbing and frightening behaviour. and yet they were totally ignorant of legal basics.
Apparently they knew nothing of the consequences to me of leaving the house. They had no clue about the upheaval in my life created by this. It affected me mentally for a long while as well as leaving me financially depleted for a period. I would be lying if I said this did not still affect me today.

From their website, it appears that She is now the head of Conveyancing for them……you just couldn’t make this up !!!
She should have been dismissed immediately and disciplinary action taken. That is what would have happened in any legitimate legal practice.

I explained to a mutual contact that I needed a new Will to be drafted and completed within in a tight 2-week time-frame as I had a recent significant change in my circumstances and was about to spend some months abroad. I asked for a recommendation for this task and confirmed my email address.

Within a couple of hours Adelaine Nietzold of Grant Saw Solicitors in SE3 sent me an email explaining the process, fees and next steps and offered to meet me at a local, mutually convenient space as my mobility is compromised and visiting the Blackheath office in its busy location would be problematic for me. In her email she explained the items we would discuss which enabled me to prepare, in advance, a document with answers to these questions.

We organised a time to meet a few days later and Adelaine asked questions, took notes, answered my questions and explained options. The next day I thought of a slight amendment to the items we discussed and this was included in the draft Will which I received within a couple of days. A couple of days later my new draft Will arrived with supporting documents. I advised of a couple of spelling amendments and we met to sign the amended Will on that same day.

From first meeting to signing the Will took 5 working days and although this short time-frame is likely not typical I put time into being thorough with providing and checking information and Adelaine was similarly quick and thorough. I was able to go abroad knowing the task was complete.

I highly recommend this excellent service with its responsive customer care.

We found Grant Saw through the Alzheimer's Society for setting up our elderly parents' last Wills. From the initial email through to finalizing all details, Adelaine Nietzold (solicitor) was invaluable in getting everything done swiftly and clearly. Adelaine responded to our emails and questions promptly, explaining in non-jargon language that we could understand and relay to our parents, and guiding us through each step of the process. We have finally got our parents' Wills after years of attempting to do so, which is a massive relief for them. If not for Adelaine's professional yet personable approach, this would have taken much longer.
