We have used Grace Removals twice now and both times have been very pleased with their service. They are very affordable, punctual and friendly. The office staff and movers are friendly and helpful. Grace Removals will be our first choice next time we move.

Highly recommend. Great service, the men did an awesome job, and very respectable. I was very pleased with the service and hard work they put in.

Scam. Lost expensive items. Withholding paperwork. I'm in tears over the treatment.

After our furniture was picked upon the 8th July from Gladstone Queensland, we received it last Monday. Well we had the truck turn up at 10am and Daena,Ezal & Henry introduced themselves asked us where things were going and like a well oiled machine they got stuck into it.
This crew was absolutely 💯 fantastic, very helpful friendly & professional.

It started very well with Grace Removals, but ended up being a truly disappointing and expensive experience.

My wife and I have moved with furniture many times before, e.g. Denmark>USA, USA>Australia and Australia>Denmark, so we know how things work and what you can expect and not expect.

Before the move:
Friendly, funny and competent service, and prompt answers to our questions. It all felt very safe with Grace and we therefore decided to move ahead with them, while turning down offers from slightly more expensive moving companies.

After this the warning signs started; very slow email replies, our contact person was always OOO, we couldn’t get time with Grace to understand and discuss our insurance needs, and a Danish referral Grace tried to contact to talk about his experience with Grace never replied.

Good thing was that we had paid AUD300 to get a specially designed casing to protect our most expensive and beloved furniture - a marble coffee table, bought for USD+2,500 in the US while we were living there.

During the pick-up move in Australia:
The movers were 3 hours late and didn’t give any notice about this. Only two men showed up and the 5 hour time pick-up estimate ended up taking closer to 10 hours. That meant that we got our cleaning appointment later in the day canceled and had to rebook flight tickets to Sydney. This despite that Grace had visited our place, took pictures and noted down everything we wanted to move.

Worst thing here was that our contact person at Grace didn’t care at all - which in that situation is very stressful and you can’t really do much as you have placed all your trust in them.

The move in Denmark and after:
We got our things back to Denmark, and a third party Grace partner moving company stepped in. We (my wife and I) ended up helping all day with carrying moving boxes to the fourth floor, again due to a miscalculation from Grace’s side re. time needed. We were completely exhausted by 10PM after a full day of moving, even though we had paid to avoid doing any work ourselves.

BUT THE WORST THING - our beloved marble table was broken into two pieces, and with no chance of repairing it in any way. And then we truly got to see the worst side of Grace. Due to a misspelling(!) (and we are not native in English) related to the marble table in the insurance contract, Grace refused to compensate more than AUD900. Grace didn’t even care about the fact that we had pointed out again and again that we really wanted the best protection of our marble table and we needed help with the insurance contract… Grace didn’t even offer to compensate us for the cost of the casing.

After a few emails about the marble table and insurance, replied by Grace in such a rude and arrogant way, they just stopped replying to our emails. So now we have a worthless marble table, AUD900 to pay for a new coffee table with cost and shipping cost well-excending USD3,000 - and tonnes of frustrations and the feeling that we got tricked.

It’s not about the compensation, but it’s the feeling of disrespect and ‘Goliath against the Giant’ with even the best arguments not being enough.

It is the worst feeling ever, and we can therefore with all of our hearts, travel experience and manners recommend that you stay far, far away from Grace Removals.

Easy and hassle free from start to finish. The guys were great too and nothing was a problem.

I found Grace to be competitive on pricing and excellent value for money. We moved a 4 bedroom house from Christchurch to Wanaka and used their storage facility for 9 months. Pickup and delivery was made to feel pretty stressless and seamless overall. They were flexible with delivery dates around our new build finishing. No breakages or major dramas. I would use them again and absolutely recommend.

Sally in administration was totally amazing and answered all questions promptly.
Nigel the team leader was outstanding and dedicated. He was ably assisted by Andy and Francis. They were extremely well mannered, and considerate of our situation that had changed due to a sudden death in the family. Thanks guys.
We also appreciated Nigels phone calls once he arrived at the destination and again to wish us well as he left.

I might not have a huge number of items to move so you would think this would be an easy move. However, once I paid the quote I never heard from Grace ever again. I had to continuously call to confirm a pick up date, then again to confirm a delivery date three weeks in advance. Then a day before the delivery I called to confirm if everything was alright and seems like they had not scheduled my delivery... They apologised and told me would confirm this time for sure and will call back... Two days after I had to call them back asking when is going to be that "when". Currently after three weeks or so after they picked up my items I am still waiting to find out if they will be ever delivered. I tried to believe, but the lack of communication is baffling. From my end their service was good until I paid, then they forgot about me. At least that is my experience.

Absolutely disgusting service. Had a container shipped to France after accepting a quote from Grace who had my items in storage. When my goods arrived I could not reconcile what was delivered with the numbered reconciliation provided. Goods missing, goods not mine, goods packed damaged, goods with missing parts. On top of tis they charged me port fees in France. They say that these were because of my poor communication with the French agent. I received two emails which I responded to in a total of 5 days, my goods took 22 days to get out of the port. The ship arrived 27 Jan 21 and the first email I got was 11 Feb 21 advising customs charges. I then received another large bill for port charges. I'm going to take this further because they have not provided any justification or proof as to the reconciliation of my goods or the added port charges. I believe the police need to be involved as well as the SFO, Maritime Authorities and the IRD.

Absolutely great to deal with. Very careful handling furniture. Very competitive price. Would definitely use them again.

Great service, removal men very professional, and Debbie who come round to arrange a quote was lovely, as my possessions are in storage she has kept In contact to see how things are going, while we wait to move into our new home.

We recently moved from NZ to Australia. We used Grace removals to move our stuf and paid the shipping fees to Grace NZ before they started. We also got quote for storage in AUD once our stuff is in Australia.

Our stuff arrived Australia last week and Grace AU just gave us a new price for storage which is 40% more expensive than what we were quoted by Grace NZ. We asked Grace AU to honour the orignally quoted price but don't seem to care and just told us this is the price they charge.

What's the point of the quote if you just going to charge whatever you want? How could anyone trust your quotes if you don't honour them?

Very disapointed with Grace Removals AU and everyone beaware of them not honouring their quotes.

Efficient service with providing a quote. We packed our own boxes and moved our treasures but had reliable and very knowledgeable movers who met the moving out deadline.

Very pleased with the whole move. Great team on the packing. EVERYTHING arrived in perfect condition. Exactly when it all should, too. Super communication through the whole process. Thank you to all involved. It really did remove a lot of stress for us.

Grace Removals were absolutely fantastic with moving us from Auckland to Ashburton. The service was outstanding. James a member of the team handled our move very professional and communication was outstanding. Thanks Grace Removals and the team for a stress free move. Highly recommended!

Sales staff were really approachable and very informative, no question was too much trouble. The packing team were good overall, however the "container to container" move we were promised didn't eventuate, and our items ended up being double handled (into a removal van to take to the port to be packed into the container). There were delivery delays with shipping which were very well communicated as soon as Grace knew about them, and the local team in Christchurch kept me updated whenever any new information was available. The Delivery team was amazing, they were a team of 7 and the unloaded the container in no time at all and had the large items of furniture re-assembled within a few minutes. They confirmed with us if there were any issues and how to proceed with getting the used packaging collected once we had unpacked. Unfortunately, there were a few items damaged in the move, so I am glad we paid for insurance. The items damaged were either not wrapped or packed with due care and attention, which is a shame as everything else went very smoothly. Just claiming through insurance now and the process so far has been smooth.

Grace was a great company to deal with. Fast and efficient communication and very well priced.
