Scam Alert: They seize crypto payments and refuse service.

UPDATE: The company is now threatening to close my account and seize my $251 permanently unless I send them my private ID documents. This is a classic ransom/extortion tactic.

The company uses a fake business address in the US (2081 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY). This address belongs to a Staples retail store and is used as a virtual drop-box to hide their real location in Sri Lanka (CodeWox). This is a clear intent to deceive customers.

In their response, GPUYard admits they are operated by CodeWOX (Sri Lanka) and denies being a UK entity. However, they provided the UK Company No. 15152341 at the time of purchase to appear legitimate. This is a clear case of Corporate Identity Theft. They also admit to "freezing" (stealing) funds without a court order, which is a violation of international financial laws. They claim to follow AML protocols, yet real AML requires returning funds to the source, not keeping them.

I paid $251 in BTC for a dedicated server. ONLY AFTER the payment was confirmed, they demanded a KYC (Passport/ID) check. When I declined due to privacy concerns, they refused to refund my money, claiming their TOS allows them to "freeze" funds indefinitely.

This is a direct violation of the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. They are using "Anti-Money Laundering" as an excuse to keep customer money without providing any service. I have full evidence of the transaction and their emails stating their decision is "final."

Be careful: if you pay with crypto, they will take your money and you will get nothing. Stay away! UK Company No. 15152341.

They claim to be a UK company (15152341) but list a US address in Kentucky. This lack of transparency combined with fund seizure is a massive red flag.

I am trying to reach GPUYard management regarding a $251 refund issue. My emails to sales are bouncing to Codewox addresses. Please assist to avoid legal escalation against GPUYARD LTD.

To make matters worse, their official support email (sales @gpuyard.com) is broken and bounces back errors, revealing that it is just a front for a third-party IT firm called Codewox (emails are forwarded to waruni @codewox.com and kawmadi @codewox.com). They take your money and then hide behind technical errors and "final decisions."

I have filed a formal report with Action Fraud UK and am initiating a claim via Money Claim Online against GPUYARD LTD (UK Co. 15152341). If you value your money and privacy, STAY AWAY. They are using AML excuses to commit flat-out theft.

Dear Tin Karolin,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your review. We take all feedback seriously, but it is deeply important to correct the significant factual errors and false accusations presented in your review. Our priority is maintaining a secure, abuse-free hosting environment for our legitimate clients.

1. Transparent Terms of Service & Mandatory KYC:
You claim that KYC was demanded "only after payment." This is factually incorrect. Before any payment can be processed, our checkout system strictly requires every customer to explicitly check a box stating, "I have read and agree to the Terms of Service." Our TOS clearly outlines that Identity Verification (KYC) is mandatory for server provisioning, and that Cryptocurrency (BTC/USDT) payments are 100% non-refundable, especially in cases where a user refuses KYC. You legally acknowledged and agreed to these terms prior to sending any funds.

2. False Company Information & Jurisdiction:
You have repeatedly cited the "UK Consumer Rights Act 2015" and claimed we are registered under "UK Company No. 15152341." GPUYard is NOT a UK company. We have absolutely no affiliation with the UK business registration number you have falsely associated with our brand. Attempting to apply UK consumer law to a non-UK entity regarding an anonymous crypto transaction is both legally and factually invalid.

3. Total Transparency Regarding CodeWOX:
You mentioned that our emails are handled by "CodeWOX" and framed this as a hidden secret. CodeWOX is not a "front"; it is our official parent company and technical management branch. It is a proud and established entity that manages our infrastructure. There is nothing hidden about our corporate structure.

4. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance:
Our refusal to refund untraceable cryptocurrency to an anonymous user who explicitly refuses Identity Verification is not "theft"—it is a strict adherence to international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols. Returning crypto funds to unverified users who hide behind encrypted email services (TutaMail) is a severe security risk that facilitates Dark Web activities. We freeze these funds specifically to prevent malicious actors from using our platform as a financial revolving door.

We welcome any formal inquiries from international law enforcement agencies, such as Action Fraud, as we retain all connection logs, IP addresses, and transaction data precisely for such investigations.

Our security policies are fixed, and we will always prioritize the safety of our network over accommodating anonymous users who refuse standard verification.
