I want to say a big thank you to the team at Gordons Vets in Musselburgh, I called in a huge panic when my cat was unwell, I was seen immediately and was welcomed in and they understood my distress. My vet Kirsty was fantastic too, beyond wonderful and understanding and patient. Called again today regarding a refill for meds and treated with the same great attitude. Honestly thanks!! You guys are all amazing!
Excellent and professional through out my cats treatment , the veterinarian was fantastic from start to finish and can't thank them enough! My wee boy is on the mend and I can see an improvement in one day ! 🐾
Prices have increased significantly since the practice became part of a corporation. I was charged over £90 for my cat’s blood pressure check, and the medication costs three to four times more than elsewhere. There is also a £34 fee for a written prescription if you want to order online. I was not made aware of this charge when I asked about ordering the medication online, and I could not find any information about it on Gordon Vets’ website. The pricing policy feels excessive, if not greedy, and has undermined my trust.
One year today, I took my beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Monty, to be put to sleep, due to terminal illness to the Penicuik branch of Gordon's Vets. A situation that required compassion and kindness was filled with horror, when the lead vet, requested payment for the procedure in the middle of the euthanasia. When I complained, I was responded to with hostility and a lack of responsibility of the distress this caused me. It has taken me a year to be able to write this, however other customers and prospective customers should know about my experience.
