Most helpful Staff Ruva and Izzy! I noticed the reat difference in price on the 'Membership' label, and asked the first GO Outdoors Staff I saw. Izzy welcomed me with her smile (even though I was disturbing her conversations with someone else). And answered me directly. I immediately went, picked up my selected coat, and took to Ruva's check-out counter. Ruva could not have been more helpful in her information and swift care of me. So- in 20 minutes- I as in and out of Vangarde's 'Go Outdoors', with my selected coat, 'G. O.' Membership and saving £91.00! Wonderful! Thank you!! Shelagh

Clueless staff, crap layout, horrid muzak, boring run-of-the-mill stock, what a waste of time. Avoid like the plague.

Please, if you are attracted to the new Go Outdoors shop in Monk Cross and their equestrian section, do not! The girls working on the floor will entice you to buy expensive gear without explaining their return policy - awful customer experience after spending hundreds of pounds

Massive floor space. I'm usually after fishing stuff but lots of other outdoor stuff to have a look at. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.

Trevor and Izzy.were excellent today at the new Vanguard Branch at York. They got me sorted out quickly with an issue I had and I left the store with what I needed, no hassles.

The new Go Outdoors York Vangarde store is absolutely amazing. It's sooo nice to see things laid out well, spacious and just a gorgeous new store.

The newly opened store in York is fantastic, absolutely huge and a pleasure to wander around, I think we were exploring for about three hours. All staff members we came across were quick to ask if we needed any help and we're pleasant and friendly.

Sam in the shoe department was really outstanding. My wife has difficulty finding shoes to fit and has always been shy about asking about foot scanning tech in other shops, having been fobbed off many times in the past by assistants who couldn't care less.

Sam was really approachable and we had her feet scanned and analysed with the scanner and pressure plate with no fuss. He found a suitable pair in no time and then spent more time with us listening to my wifes issues and fine tuning the shoes such as with different ways to tie the laces that really went a long way in helping her.

Really nice guy and really knew his stuff.

Can't wait to go back!

The impression was given at the York store that there was 30% off everything as it was closing down, when it was actually the usual 'discount' for being a 'member' that only serves to bring prices in line with other outdoor stores. A clear deception to lure people in, not good.
