I was very impressed by the service I received from Sif when I wanted shoes and walking boots. He was very fast in finding lots of shoes for me to try on, appearing twice from the stockroom with piles of boxes, catering brilliantly for my unusual requirements and preferences. He was also very knowledgeable about walking shoes, and knew which brand to recommend. I was very pleased with both my experience and my two new pairs of shoes. Thank you, Sif!

I went into GO Outdoors the other day to buy a couple of folding chairs that were on sale. As I was about to buy the chairs I was asked whether I had a loyalty card. I did not and was about to dismiss the idea when the very pleasant and friendly sales assistant, Joe, pointed out the huge discount I would get on the chairs if I were a loyalty card member. I quickly signed up for that card! It took about 30 seconds and I scored a bargain. I was really impressed that Joe cared more about my customer experience and giving me a good deal than just ringing up the sale. I know a loyalty card is an incentive to shop more at GO Outdoors (and they get your data), but as long as I get something out of it too, then we both win.

Excellent advice from Steve who was friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to work out which boots would be best for my son. We bought a pair of Merrell boots which he is finding very comfortable and supportive for his ankles.

We used to go to the larger Stockport branch but it’s often difficult to get someone to help in there. Whereas, although the Macclesfield branch is smaller, the staff are always helpful and we’re more likely to find what we’re looking for and have a positive experience. So we always go to the Macclesfield branch now. Thanks again.

Was time to replace my trusty old peter storm boots for a new pair, great boots , and a great price, especially when the very helpful Anders informed me that there was an extra 15 percent off on the bank holiday Monday I was there, great shopping experience, thanks 😄

Me and my girlfriend came in today to shop for essentials for Creamfields this week! Ethan was absolutely amazing showed us what we do and don’t need, went out of his way to show us certain products and his knowledge on things was top tier! Also get yourself a member’s card as we saved £88! Highly recommend.

Staff very helpful and had very good knowledge of their stock. I came out with more than I went in for!

The GO Outdoors in Macc never fails to disappoint. Today I bought two pairs of walking shoes. Aaron provided helpful advice and most importantly the correctly sized footwear. Saved £36 with my GO discount card. Happy days!

Visited the Macclesfield store needing an urgent item.
I was served by a very friendly and efficient person.
My item was not in store but the employee ordered one for me to collect.
I received texts and emails giving up to date information on the progress of my order and duly collected it a couple of days later.

Looking for new wraparound sunglasses for cycling to replace a very old pair. For a small store they stock a very wide range of styles as well as several makes, and all were on special offer during our visit! The staff were helpful in advising best choices for my needs, and were happy to remove the security tag over the nose support, so that I could get a better feel for fit on my chosen pair before committing. They signed us up as members in order to get the best deal - all very quick and easy.
