Extra low prices, but sadly because it was a closing down sale. We like a lot of others will miss the Colchester store and the great helpful staff especially the guy on the footwear section.

Excellent service

Went in to buy some new hiking boots. Andrew kindly made some recommendations on what may suit me best. The first pair of boots were a good fit, but a little tight on the side of my toes on one boot. Andrew re-laced the boot and solved the problem. I bought the boots. No pressure to buy, just skilled knowledge and great customer service. Thanks for the help.

I visited the Colchester branch on Monday 27th July at 19.15 to purchase walking boots. The assistant wasn't particularly helpful but I managed to find something suitable costing £65. The time was 19.55 approx but, walking to the tills unaware the store would be closing at 20.00, we stopped to look at a chair valued at around £50. The young lady cashier called over to us and said the store was closing and we had to pay by 20.00 because the till automatically closes at that time. I asked why did the till close dead on 20.00, she said it was to conform with trading laws which I didn't question but knew was incorrect. Your website says your tills do not close automatically at closing time, staff must manually close the registers. So not only was the experience not what I expected but I was lied to. I understand the store is closing down (I wonder why).

Brilliant place for all outdoor activities. The staff at the Colchester branch are friendly and extremely helpful. It’s such a shame it’s closing. I don’t think I’ll be going to my nearest branch’s in Ipswich or Thurrock in the future.

What a joy it was to have Kitty serve us this morning. She was hugely knowledgeable and extremely helpful and gave us brilliant advice and recommendations. Such a difference to the nonchalant don’t care attitude of most shop assistants nowadays. We were incredibly impressed with her and very grateful for her knowledge. Thank you and well done Kitty and well done Go Adventure! We will certainly be back and will be recommending you.

Fraser was amazingly patient and informative. My husband wasn't sure what he wanted but Fraser was brilliant with him.

Andrew was brilliant with helping us choose our hiking boots. He was really informative and added no pressure, just pure incentive to want to help. His knowledge and experience as a whole was so much help. He took the time to answer all of our questions and it was amazing to hear about his personal experiences and achievements. When I telephoned the store to enquire if they stocked refrigerator cool boxes, was given good information which led to me driving to purchase the item.
I spoke with Morgan on the telephone and he also helped me make my purchase. If he wasn’t able to answer a question he sought help from his supervisor to provide me with what I required and needed to know. All in all great service and highly recommend them and will be sure to shop there again.

I went to go outdoors today to get some new hiking boots. There were so many options and I didn’t know where to start. One of the store assistants Andrew asked what I wanted hiking boots for and was able to suggest boots which fit my needs and explained in detail how they would help my level of hiking. Was super helpful and even showed me a new way of tying my laces for extra support. He was very knowledgeable and I felt very well informed. The experience from start to finish was faultless. I ordered my product online for collection instore, everything was very straightforward. When I went to collect my product it was quite big and bulky and one of the store members brought it out and put it in the van for me.

I had one of the best customer service experiences here last week. Andrew helped me so much with buying walking shoes ahead of my holiday, which turned out to be the best purchase I could have made; they are so comfortable and such a good investment. He gave me so much advice, local recommendations for my holiday, and even showed me the best way to tie my shoes! I cannot thank him enough!
