Iam a member but would not give me members price when I phoned customer services were not interested in paid 34 pounds to much would not help won't be using them at all i also phoned shop the woman put phone down crap

Hannah in footwear was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and gave great advice AFTER asking the customer about their plans and needs.
Even in a big outlet, that service makes a difference. We went on to buy two other items in other departments largely due to the positive impression.

Great problem-solving service finding a click/collect delivery and sorting out my new card.
Very switched on and pfofessional guys.
The boots are great too!

Mel was absolutely fantastic during our visit today. Very knowledgeable about the gas canisters we required for our BBQ. He was able to help us understand which bottle we needed and went above and beyond.
Also big thanks to Adam who served us at the till and Anthony for bringing the canisters down.
All employees were chatty and lovely.
Pleasure to visit!
Great customer service is rare these days.

Young gentleman helping me pick out some trail shoes early afternoon in Cardiff store was very helpful and went the extra mile to find me alternative trainers from the store room.

Customer service from Connor was exceptional, he went out of his way to make sure I had exactly what I needed with all of my camping purchases.
He helped me make the right formal decisions in what I wanted, with the tent being 30kg He even brought it from the store and loaded it into the back of my car.
Great overall experience in buying my first Berghaus Air Tent.

I returned a pair of walking shoes after a week of use as the liner was twisting and folding causing rubbing. The store stated this was an issue with volume and I needed to put another set of insoles into the shoes. This I did which made them too small. I thought you were supposed to have room in shoes to allow your feet to swell?
I tried to reach out to their customer service team, filled in the online form with all the details only to receive an email contains information on their website and if I wanted to continue with the complaint to reply to the email and write all the information again. A process obviously designed to get people to give in.
Gooutdoors has lost a good customer today, I will no longer use them.
Update 5July
I did hear from customer service suggested I return to the store again, or another one further away if I didn’t feel comfortable. This was to speak to a manager to see what other solutions could be found, to be honest after the treatment i have made the decision to take the hit, the shoes went to a charity shop, and GoOutdoors have lost my custom.

Been shopping at the Cardiff branch for years,all the assistants are helpful, they have a vast amount of stock on show and somehow I always purchase something didn't know I needed!

Just bought myself a lovely pair of hiking shoes thanks to the help of Morgan. T at Go outdoors Cardiff. As I’m fairly new to the world of hiking, I was unsure of what to look for. Morgan and his colleges were all very helpful, kind and patient when I asked them for help. I left feeling happy and satisfied with my purchase. Thanks guys, I would recommend this place👍.

I went in for a pair of waterproof over trousers and struggled to find what I was looking for. Hannah was an absolute gem, showing me a few options, and identifying what I might need for my trip. 10/10 experience.

Hannah, excellent service in helping my son to choose boots for his DofE expedition. Took extra care to help to choose the right pair and great advice about how to lace them up properly.

Great service very friendly fair and informed and helpful

We went to buy some new walking boots/shoes but had no idea what to look for when faced with a wall of options (its been along time since I bought my old ones). A lovely assistant asked if we needed any help and she (Hannah) was fantastic. Hannah answered all of our questions, she spent time helping us pick out the best option, for my husband and I, based on what walking we do - but let us make up our own minds (not pushing anything in particular).
