I was helped today by a lovely knowledgeable lady called Lynda - she made the whole shopping experience for gortex walking trainers, gortex jacket, waterproof trousers and some socks a relaxing and trouble free experience. So nice to have such good service in a large retail outlet. Thankyou Lynda - you took the stress out of my shopping trip.

Had reserved two bikes for our grandchildren which Terry then fitted them for. An excellent job which made the experience very easy and enjoyable

The assistant, Sophie N., was most helpful, answering all our questions fully & adding other helpful comments. I felt unhurried, thus able to feel confident with my decision of what to purchase.

We had our first visit to Go Outdoors today and were served by Sophie N, who helped us find the right riding hat and boots for our daughter. Sophie was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and provided excellent service throughout.
She made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable, especially as I had expected it to be more of a chore! Sophie was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
We will definitely be back!

Stock of everything you need. Massive store. Helpful staff. Membership is worth it with reasonable fee considering the sale prices

Helped by the knowledgeable Sophie with some horse riding equipment today. As very patient with the sizing of some chaps but got me everything we needed, thanks Sophie!

Had the item they wanted that I went in for, in my size too! Also picked up a pair of lightweight shorts which were in the sale. Bargain.

Lynda was fantastic with helping me find the perfect pair of walking boots. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the different brands and very patient as I tried them on in several different sizes. I took the dog out with them this morning and am delighted with them. Thank you Lynda !

Visited the Basingstoke store to look for a small Berghaus camping table, a camping storage cupboard, a fishing hat and some other items. Unfortunately there was hardly any stock left of camping tables or cupboards on the shelf but we found the items on display within demonstration tents elsewhere in the camping section. We asked an assistant if we could have them and he advised us yes, as they were all available for sale, even though they were not packed up and on a shelf. He also said the manager may consider discounting the two items so we should ask at the till. We bought some other items and went to the till. We asked about any further discount on the demonstration models and the manager agreed to give a further 10% discount on each of them which was great. The assistant, Paul, was very helpful as he helped pack up the demo items in their respective bags. The till assistant, Mary, and the manager Aaron, were also very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Would thoroughly recommend this store - it's spacious, has a lot of stock usually, and the assistants are very knowledgeable and helpful.

First class service from Terry in the bike department and Stan on the tills.
Terry took the time to correctly size and adjust the bike for my grandson and then to ensure everything was in full working order. Stan was very customer friendly on the tills. A very pleasant and recommended experience.

Been to this store a few times to purchase a new tent. A really good selection of tents to view. We were helped by George and Carol. They knew everything you needed to know to help us with our family trip. They were so friendly and very patient with us. We cant thank them enough for all your advice and help.

Had to grab some last minute essentials. Liv was super helpful at assisting me.

We were served by a male named Paul in the Tent department, Paul was very knowledgable and helpful. We were very grateful for his help and assistance.

Ordering process can be greatly improved. I ordered a tent to store pick up which was in stock only for the order to be cancelled 24hrs later. I had to call the store for an explanation and the reason was because the store did not have it. A great waste of time! Like other large establishments I would expect them to obtain the stock to the local store that you have selected on-line. The only option I had was to order online which was a further £20 delivery. Summary - If the store does not hold the stock in-store, then please do not allow customers to select the option. The only plus side was the store colleague was helpful advising post cancellation.

Terry was great today. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Squeezed us in for a minor derailleur adjustment. Will definitely be going back to get our 4 bikes serviced in future. Booking advisable as they are very busy.

Renewed my membership several days ago but the cashier has not entered the details correctly so my profile says I’m not a member. I’ve emailed customer services and received a reply with a bunch of FAQs to read/try - unfortunately staff input error isn’t listed! Returned to the store today and bought a rather expensive tent from a cashier who clearly hasn’t heard of customer service. I explained the membership situation to the cashier and he couldn’t have cared less! I guess the rest of our camping accessories for our upcoming trip will be purchased elsewhere!
