App is buggy and customer service is…

App is buggy and customer service is appalling. I’ve been going backwards and forwards over an issue for over a week now. I feel like every time I’m in touch with them we just end up going around in circles. They don’t feel like they want to help and almost like you’re inconveniencing them by asking questions.

My data was taken without my consent.

My data was taken without my consent.
I received an email about registering an account with my data at some gym in a completely different city. The personal data and the account were taken and set up without my consent. This is a scandal!

Please know that we do not create any member accounts or share data without consent. This happens for each gym or studio and it's managed by their team. It’s possible that a fitness business may have entered your information in error. We recommend reaching out to the gym you got the email from to ask them to remove your information.

From Bad to Worse

Since the company was sold its gone from average to absolutely terrible! We've been with them for 4 years but can't wait to find someone else now. They have hiked up the price and now we are costing us money.

Positive and timely help when needed

I work with Ester and she has really went out of her way to help and has sent numerous emails with little videos to help consolidate what we chat about in our zoom calls. Anytime I email Ester is back to me within a few hours and is always willing to have a zoom call with availability most days! She has been crucial in us getting our services up and running! Thanks so much Ester!!

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT work with them if you care about your business. They have good sales people and, after you sign up with them, you will be left to your own devices. They are impossible to get in touch with and send endless emails that they "recieved" your email and make it impossible to cancel, as they still receive $$$ while you are enrolled. DO NOT do it.

Bad Glofox

System started off not working properly. Issues with barcodes, signups, app not working. When Customer service was talked to they wanted screen shots from our members phones to see there was a problem with it instead of accessing their system and seeing the issue. It was a complete mess. Paid close to 300$ per month for nothing but issues.

Avoid if possible

This is the worst system I have ever utilized for running my fitness franchise. The interface is glitchy, buggy, and unforgivable. I have had to refund customers for simple payment errors that this system has caused. It is underdeveloped and the customer service is non-existent. Do your research and go with a better system if you are able to. Save yourself the troubles. If you have recently began utilizing and are facing issues, I would warn you about wasting time with customer service to resolve these concerns. They will waste your time for month's on end with no reconciliation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Glofox have stolen from me and I am now taking them to court. They also doubled my monthly payment after 1 year with them. I never missed a single payment and when I asked to change my billing to monthly they still charged me for 3 months and refused a refund. Incredibly rude customer service. Extremely disappointing. Please if you are a small business owner, save yourself the headache. It’s hard enough for us, but being scammed into thinking you’re paying for one service and then being told you need to pay double to continue the same service after only 1 year is insane.

Complete incompetence

Complete incompetence - be careful. As some other comments say - staff is only able to help with basic requests. Otherwise, anything more concrete you need help with - and you'll be stuck.

As an example - they are using incorrect billing details for me. You could think that it is a matter of couple emails, and matter is fixed. BUT, it now has been over 50 emails (sharing exact same request), and request SINCE AUGUST 2024 (so almost a year). And they still cannot get 5 lines of text correctly.

I have never, in my life, dealt with such incompetence.. be careful when evaluating your options, and make sure to read other reviews.

We will be changing over to another system

We’ve been using GloFox at our facility and unfortunately, the experience has been frustrating more often than not. The platform is not user-friendly and navigating the system feels clunky and unintuitive. Many of the features we rely on for day-to-day operations are either difficult to access or simply not functional in the ways we need them to be. We have to constantly ask members to delete and re-download the app as signing up for classes is often an issue on the app.

One of the biggest challenges is that the mobile app is not user-friendly for members, and it’s even more difficult for staff. Accessing member profiles, notes, and membership information through the app is nearly impossible for employees. Important information like member goals, injuries, and progress notes should be readily available on the go, especially for coaches and trainers who are working directly with clients. Instead, this functionality is limited to administrators and only accessible via a desktop browser. The app is horrible, we are not able to access any information on the app as we are on the web browser.

Not to mention, it’s an absolute nightmare trying to add a new membership to an existing account. The system won’t allow you to process a new membership if the member already has one marked as “active”—even when they've run out of credits or their expiration date is right around the corner. How does that make any sense? Why would a system designed for managing memberships prevent you from... well, managing memberships? It’s incredibly frustrating and makes it harder to deliver a smooth experience for our members.

For a fitness management system, ease of use and mobile accessibility are key—and unfortunately, GloFox is falling short in both areas. We hope to see significant improvements soon, because the current limitations are making it harder to provide the quality service our members deserve.

Non-existent customer service

It was the worst decision moving to Glofox. The app never works and we continually have to tell clients to delete it and then reinstall it.
We have had many issues with Glofox, including clients randomly being removed from classes and clients' recurring bookings being removed post-pause.
One of the problems, which has led to lost revenue and ongoing customer satisfaction issues has been going on from 2024 !! All we keep getting from Glofox Customer Support is "we know this is an issue". What a joke.
There is zero accountability within Glofox and unless your question to support is super-basic, there is very little chance it will be resolved.
There must be better Booking systems out there. It's just a real shame for a small business to find out the hard way that Glofox is not the answer

Warning: You wont get paid!

We have been with Glofox for over 2 years. Recently they have withheld all our money earned through credit card transactions with little support or service to get it back to us. The customer service rep is not only unhelpful but refusing to take accountability. We have not been paid in 7 weeks. There was no warning or communication that this could even be an issue. Warning: Do not sign up with Glofox unless you want to randomly not get paid!

Things been getting progressively worse

Been using Glofox for almost 2 years, it was never perfect but did the job. Recently though, it has been a nightmare. Payments are not working properly - as a result, some members are attending classes for free, while others are being charged without making a purchase. In addition, the timetable managenent became a nightmare - we get glitches with classes randomly appearing and disappearing daily. At this point, I need a full time staff to manage all the mess the system creates.

Glofox support simply promises to look into things, which takes weeks if not months, eventually answering that nothing can be done.

Chose your provider wisely...

I was a customer of GloFox for 2 years

I was a customer of GloFox for 2 years. They increased the price by over 100% following my 2nd year with them. They are only interested in big gyms rather than smaller fitness studios. They are far too expensive. You are better off going to TeamUp which is 40% the cost of Glofox and use mailchimp as a marketing platform. When I left Glofox, they wanted to charge me £600 to transfer members payment details. TeamUp, do not charge.
