Very unprofessional and unethical
It's not the fact that some claims were denied that I take issue with.
It's that they:
1. Denied certain claims, but failed to notify those claimants when the decision was originally made, which happened weeks or months ago. I assume they did this so that people couldn't dispute the decisions until the money was gone.
2. Repeatedly lied to these claimants when they called to check on their claim, telling them that it was still "under review" but providing no further explanation. They continued to do this until yesterday.
3. Today, reversed course and said actually the claims had been denied all along.
4. Refused to provide explanations for why these claims were denied.
The way they handled this entire process was incredibly unprofessional.
